No one left you an answer ???? Unacceptable….really you want to lift M, W, and F - hitting 2 muscle groups per day. T and Th do cardio. There are alllll sooorts of splits you can do so it get’s complicated.

Are you working with a PT??? you may want to consider. Remember you want our body to rest. Your not building the muscle when you’re in the gym, you are breaking it down. You are building the next 24 hrs when you are eating clean.

How often do you do abs, seems like you really want abs. Those you can do every other day, for 10 min, usually at the end of lifting. Do drills for upper abs, lower, and middle. PM me and I can talk further.

Your making progress, your progress pic’s look great, the secret is consistency. Always get a WO in. The formula is diet + cardio + weights, you need all three.

    Good luck with it.
    clc.

Well I have been known to work out 7 days a week when I first started, thinking back that may have been to much. But if you are training different body parts each day, and you are giving each group ample time (at least 48 hours) to recover you could do so. Keep in mind that you must eat right and listen to your body when it is telling you to take a break. I recently took two weeks off just to recouperate. Have a good game plan, and change it up so you stay excited about it. I usually work out 4 to 5 days a week now, and rotate body parts as needed. If you are seeing the results that you want keep it going.

hey jenny, read the blog and wanted to respond. These guys up here got the idea. Like they said it depends what you are trying to do. Now from your headline " I want to gain muscle" this will all come down to your eating… You have eat big to get big. Now you can do thist two ways… 1. eat everything in site and do high protein foods as well as carbs.. 2. four small meals of carb and protein foods and at least one protein or meal replacement shake. The difference is that the second one will keep you leaner… in the process.. There are also supplements you can buy to help the process… some are creatine, beta alamine, glutamine, and these are all testorone free and are vital amino acids that your body uses to repair and build muscle.. creatine will disminsh soreness and help the muscle heal faster, beta alamine reduces lactic acid in your body allowing you to do extra reps when it would normally burn too much to do so and maintains your strenght, by preventing catalitic muscle breakdown. Glutamine breaks down protein to help heal you muscles. Now as far as the working out… you can work out seven days a week just depends how you want to go about it.. the gentleman above brought up the point of doing seperate bodyparts… Ill explain to you what he meant…. I work out six days a week… chest day, shoulder day, tricep and bicep day, back day , and leg day. one day of rest. All these days include five exercises for the particular bodypart of 4 sets of pyramid weight .. meaning first set i do weight i can do for 12 reps then 10 reps try to go oup on weight…etc.. for 8 reps and 6 reps.. If your interested I can try to help you out.. just send me a message on your current work out and what you should change up.. once again allmy advise is based on adding muscle weight… if you are just trying to tone up a different avenue can be taken.

That is a great strategy. But you musn’t blast your arms or legs on both days. One day should be super heavy, and the other should be all about blood volume to expand lean tissue making appear more developed. Big squishy muscles are better than being streamlined and thin. Thin is yucky.

  5. gq33 Says:

to develope good legs you need to only train them that day no any other muscule group and do only the basic exercises( you need to squat all the way down almost touching the floor with your butt with medium stance where your feet make number 11) like when a power lifter trains his legs. increase weights and reduse reps.

  6. SpeedyMoney87 Says:

That was the most idiotic advice I’ve heard for building legs, first of all if she does squats like that her knees will be in major risk of injury and not to mention the repercusions she will have later in life for going beyond the 90 degree angle while doing squats. And buddy the best way to build muscle is not to power lift power lifting is done to increase power and muscle built is a secondary outcome. If you want any muscle bigger you lift with technique that will produce muscle growth the fastest. Its a science that few choose to follow. Its called time under Tension. Dont beleive my google it all national training associations swear by it. You have a 3.5 to 4 second negative on every rep and 1. to 2 second positive and do no more than 8 reps while bulking or trying to put on serious mass. Heavy weight can still be used but also the benifit of this lifting is that it saves your joints from pointless jerking and wasted energy.Think about this what would tear your muscle up more and get every little fiber, benching 225 for 12 reps taking approximately 15 to 25 seconds each set to complete, or benching 225 for a total of 30 to 45 seconds with that load for that entire time being put on the pectorals. For true mass and fastest size gains this is the way. Power lifters your a different sport, you can get huge but a majority of you are just bulky and strong bodybuilders are massive and cut, but not as strong and of course I’m talking in an all natural sense.

  8. patt Says:

could you describe your normal diet. What do you eat in a typical day ????

  9. jennyj242 Says:

I eat the same stuff everyday…I don’t eat meat, but i love fish!!! Eggs, protein drinks, fruit, veggies, natural peanutbutter, oatmeal, oatmeal pancakes, nuts, natural yogurt, and fish…and sometimes low carb wraps. Love it, and will always eat this way :)

  10. scooternewtown Says:

    JJ,

Lots of good advice but I think it just boils down to push ups and peanut butter (just not too much). Rock on girl!

  11. all4eternity Says:

SpeedyMoney87 you should avoid using words such as stupid and idiotic. Everyone has right to answer to this question and you can give your answer without insulting anyone!
And the man is RIGHT! I was listening someone like you and did squats till 90 degree angle, progress was ZERO! When I started to squat "ass to grass" and slow reps I noticed that my legs and butt are shaping!
