Overall time: 1 hr. 30 minutes.

Missed my goals. Had NO idea how cold water could be without actually being ice! HOLY COW!
We were all frozen… hands didn’t work, feet were numb… and, I can’t wait to do it again!!!
(at a lower altitude, with warmer water!)
race time was 1:42. Swim was way long - over 16 minutes - couldn’t crawl at all because putting my head in water gave me ice cream headaches (chose not to do this, because I didn’t want to lose too much energy trying to avoid hypothermia); bike was very slow - 16 mph - not sure why??? I trained at about 18-20mph; run was only a 10 minute mile.
It just starts my fire to work harder so I can improve in 8 weeks!
