Had a good biceps workout.. added 10 pounds to most exercises trying to hit it a bit harder. Felt really good after. Knocked out a good ab burn and some hyperextensions. Did cardio for 25 on the treadclimber and then about 22 on the treadmill.
Now for the real fun.. this month there is a Virgin Lifecare Challenge I am a part of.. basically it is this:
You are part of a team that tries to get the most steps over the period of the 30 days. However, they cap each person of the team at 30000 steps per day. So, if you somehow get 40000.. you only get credit for 30000. This past April, I managed to get like 46000 one day by doing all my stuff and then soccer.
Anyhow.. will be trying for 30000 each day ending on Halloween. This is going to be a break in my routine since I normally just try to get my 12000 steps, cardio, and a weight lifting session each day (6 days a week, 1 rest day on Monday). The point system on Virgin Lifecare gives you 80 points for 12000 steps, 10 for cardio, and 10 for "strength training". And the max for the day is 100. So, being that I don’t like carry around the pedometer all day I just take it off after I reach at least 12000 provided I have done my cardio and weights for the day.. otherwise I shoot for 20000 (which gives the max of 100 pts). It’s actually been pretty cool since you earn money over time for working out and you get cash back off your bodybuilding.com orders.
Hope everyone has a great October.. reach their goals and getting in better shape. Hit it hard!

First day back at my home gym. Sure is nice to have all the familiar equipment. I had a membership at Ironwood while on vacation and while it is a great gym, it lacked a few pieces of equipment I am used to.. namely treadclimbers, a good leg curl machine (i dislike the seated one), a good leg press (they had an awesome squat rack though), and no good ez-curl bar. Nonetheless, I was able to get good workouts while I was there (on the days I was in town and not at the cabin).
Hit triceps today, abs, and hyperextensions.. did 30 on the treadclimber and then 15 on the recumbent bike. Felt great. Weight was 214.6 which was kinda what I expected. Want to be down to like 202-203 by 22 Sept. Shouldn’t be too hard to do. Been there and done that before. Now just to do it!

Went to my 20 year HS reunion and had a lot of fun (3-6 July). It was good being in shape for sure. Got a lot of compliments on how good I looked and young and so forth so it was pretty humbling at times. Also spent the next 3 weeks traveling around the NW USA (Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana). Plenty to see and do but it did throw off my workout routine a bit. I managed to find ways to do exercise and try and keep in decent shape but still it is nice to go to the gym first thing in the AM be have it out of the way.
I started CHA again yesterday and man I am glad to be back on this diet. About 2 weeks into the vacation both my wife and I decided CHA was on the board when we got back. Looking to really shred up over the next couple months.. wanna be looking better when I turn 38 (Sep 22nd) then when I was 18.
Hope everyone is having a great summer and sticking to their diet and exercise goals.

Well, 68 straight days to the gym. February 16th - April 23rd. This year I have missed 3 days (all because I wanted to…). Not too bad. Funny thing is I feel like going just about every morning I get up and have been able to get back into fairly good shape (I got told I look like a high school student today). Now to keep it this consistent or close over the next couple months… summer isn’t too far off…
Just a note CHA is an awesome diet… I’m doing the cut diet now… but after a bit of the cut diet, I really like CHA. Somehow I can see it being my diet after this one. Those of you never trying one of these diets really ought to give them some heed and check them out. http://www.scivationbooks.com/
Hope everyone is having a good April and hit it hard… if not.. you are only cheating yourself.

Well, looking back over my logs, I hit it 30 of 31 days this past month. Not that I was trying any different.. but it just turned out that way (no.. I am not a New Years Resolution person and has absolutely nothing to do with that). I took 1 day off to rest my left knee.. other than that I hit it hard each and every day. Averaged just above 65 minutes of cardio each day and kept to my 6 day weightlifting routine.
One thing I do note is that the megadosing of xtend and addition of vasocharge has really helped not be fatigued and aided in recovery. I’m glad there are many flavor choices to mix it up. Wish that Primal EAA would offer matching choices… (hint to Primaforce… lemonade is good.. but being able to match a flavor when mixing with xtend would be pretty nice).
Looking forward to a great February and wish everyone success with their goals.

Didn’t really feel like going this AM. 4 AM came early somehow
Got to the gym @ 5 AM and hit legs pretty good… it seems like the days you don’t want to go you can have some good workouts… squats felt pretty good though my left knee is bugging me just a bit. Hit leg presses (and combo with some calves), leg extensions, more calf presses, then leg curls.. also mixed in some tibs (i like working them and sometimes i forget to go and do them). Did 35 on the treadclimber, 10 on the stepmill, and 25 on the recumbent bike. All-in-all it as was good workout and got in lots of sets on calves.
Hope everyone has a great week and hit it hard!

well, got to the gym (about 3 minutes before they open) and only 1 car there (another regular)… gotta love Sundays @ 6 AM… i think it was 6:30 until i saw many others there
Anyway, had a good chest workout.. been working hard to have explosive sets on bench and i grab about as wide as possible without getting the sides of my hands pinched when I put the bar back after a set. just a really good workout. i loving the vasocharge. it’s the deal for preworkout for me and I’ve tried about everything out there. Not too much to give you that racing heart, semi-queasy stomach feeling you can get from some.. just good clean energy and when I want a bit more boost, I just take something like a redline cap or 2 with it. Went on and did incline flyes, peck deck, and then cable flyes.. chest felt really good. i did some stutter reps on peck deck.. just awesome how it gets the blood flowing in your pecs. Got in a few sets of weighted hyperextensions and then did a bunch of decline abs (mixed stuff like crunches, side2side, rocky style, regular sit-ups but on decline) got a good burn and when I thought I was done and about to get off the decline ab bench… i got back and did a bunch more (guess that means i need to push it more often, eh?)… after that i did treadclimber for 45 and then felt like i needed a change so i did recumbent bike for 20 minutes.. all-in-all a great workout.
I see bb.com has golden finish so.. time to order it up and see how the stuff goes… that and load up on more vasocharge, xtend, and more isoflex (good stuff).

the new year resolution gang (NYRG) is fading… last week on Saturday it was quite a bit more crowded (like 5 times as many people). this AM.. seemed like a ghost town @ 6 AM. Anyway.. hope some can stay dedicated, but I don’t mind having the gym back to "normal".
Had a good back workout plus did abs and hyperextensions… really tried to do extra reps and get a good burn. Followed with treadclimber for 65 minutes. Pretty average.. but it felt good to get it done.
I will say this.. the last treadclimber makes an awful noise and they have yet to fix it.. well some lady used it for like 30… good thing I have a volume control on my iPod.. i would go nuts hearing that… Why would you want to use broken equipment is beyond me… too much risk and completely annoying.

Well.. gotta love Friday’s… it’s the day I either take an off day or do some cardio.. normally it’s just a cardio day since I don’t believe I need "off days" very often.
Hit the gym and did 75 minutes of cardio. 5 minutes on treadmill and then 70 on the treadclimber. All felt good.. got 10 scoops of lemonade xtend in me during the cardio and felt like I could have done another 30.. however… 70 minutes on the treadclimber is about my limit… boredom sets in even with the best of music on my iPod…
Hope everyone has a great day…
Oh.. another 0.4 pounds overnight… gotta love this creatine… vasopro seems to be a good preworkout drink.. really liking it.. just wasn’t expecting the weight gain to be so drastic.

ok.. so i’ve been loading up on vasocharge and supermegadosing xtend the past 6 days… i feel like i am more ripped in the mirror.. seems to be going good. have some bloating from the creatine..
then the big news.. i get on the scale yesterday… 200.6 lbs.. i’m like.. what? so i reset the scale (it’s a Tanita digital cool guy model)…. same… i wait a day.. weight today… 201.2…
anyway.. unsure what is going on but I don’t remember adding this much via creative and aminos… thought I haven’t really used creatine in 1 year… more to come as I’m allegedly on a cut…
And I still feel like I am.. just that I must really need the water or such.
Any gained like this when on a cutting diet?
