No-Bake Whey Protein bar with Peanut Butter recipe
You can see how it is easy to mix and match what macros you want to add. It’s kind of like being the food chemist or whatever and you can just throw stuff in that you like (fats, proteins, fiber, carbs, etc). I don’t use the non-fat dry milk….I use a soy beverage powder but may drop it totally since it’s not needed since it’s only for taste. You could even sub some of the water with soy milk. You can also add walnuts, raisins, almonds or even switch the flavor of protein to suit your taste.
6 scoops of chocolate whey protein powder (about 144g protein)
1/2 cup oat flour (if you can’t find oat flour substitute with dry oatmeal)
1/2 oatmeal (dry)
2 tbsp flaxseeds or milled flaxseeds (optional)
5 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 cup non-fat dry milk
1/2 cup water (amount may very, so just add a little at a time. You want this batter to be firm and chunky, if it is too runny the bars will be gooey and won’t really be bars anymore just goo. Add oat flour or oats if too runny.)
1 tsp vanilla (or however much cinammon you like….which is my favorite)
How to do it:
Put your protein powder, non-fat dry milk, oat flour, oatmeal, and flaxseeds in medium mixing bowl and stir ingredients together. Microwave peanut butter till it is runny. Stir in water till you reach your desired consistency. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla. If your batter is too thick now just add a little water…if too runny add oat flour or oatmeal. You should be able to hold the bowl upside-down without the batter coming out….keep it thick. Line the inside of a 9×9 or 8×8 baking pan with wax paper and spoon the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Put in the fridge overnight and cut into 4 or 6 bars when ready and enjoy. I prefer to keep the bars refrigerated. You could other things for flavor like cinnamon or maybe some sugar free maple syrup.
Enjoy guys!
