Growth Hormone?

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

I have many clients ask day in and day out what is the best time rate to rest? The fact is that studies have found keeping your rest range between sets at 60- 90 seconds is going to fundamentally release endogenous growth hormone in your body. Growth, of course, is related to the fountain of youth, the recuperation and augmentation of muscles, the vitality of bodily functions and organelles. If you decide that you really want to kick your body into high gear on the weights, I personally would suggest supersetting all of your movements to shock growth hormone into play and sustain a high metabolic rate on elongated aenoribic activity. Supplement your hard workouts by first consuming your aminos 15 minutes after and then wait a window of 15 to 20 minutes after that and consume a fast digesting protein!

My principle of peak contraction

Monday, December 24th, 2007

I have always been a true follower of many Arnold principles. He believes that in order to acheive the best peak on your bicep you truly have to connect your mind and muscle to be as one and imagine that your bicep is going to pop right out of your skin. I firmly believe in this as well, however, I found a small tip to give everyone to really create a fundamental peak. As you begin your concentric movement imagine that you are going to turn your wrist into complete supinaition, once reached twist your pinkie so that it moves towards your outer bicep head, hold and squeeze. You will really feel the difference!

Progress

I was more than happy to finally have the guts to put up my new progress pics. I am fairly unhappy about water retention and slight bloat, but overall my progress is unreal. My shoulders, pecs, back, arms and legs have gained tremendous size. Overall, I feel certain the water retention will flush with my upcoming low carb cycling for competition, so I guess its not really that big of a deal. Its just that slight phobia of becoming overweight again, I don’t ever want to go back!

Periodization

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

We all live in todays bodybuilding realm where habits are routine and precise, to deviate from these habits could mean psychotic breakdowns. I myself have been bodybuilding now for over 3 years and I know the routine and habit of food preperation, hitting precise times on cardio, and the exact molding of the human body. Ive read about periodization many of times in books of all sorts. My mind grasped the concept, yet I didnt want to even try it if it meant time off. Recently, I had no choice in the matter. I was forced to take off a period of 7 days from my recent mass phase, my mass phase consisted of lower reps, higher calorie intake and increased fat oxidation cardio. I found the time off really did help tremendously, my body responded with a lean mass gain of 6 pounds the following week. My strength has augmented, my power is unbelievable, and even my mood seems to be more driven than it was after my first bodybuilding contest. In conclusion, this method is great given the circumstances that the week to 2 weeks off you dont eat crap and completely remain sedentary. Let your mind go free from the gym, do some outdoor experiences, go hiking, walk your dogs, hell even ride your dirt bike or street bike if you have one, get some fresh air and the following week will prove your revival!
