Recovered!

Two days and my back was tight, but not sore.. today was legs.  I tested it with light squats.. and no pain.  Wow that was fast..  clean eating.. rest, muscle relaxer and lots of ice and hot pads must have done the number. Meals are going well.. Im 90% efficient for the most part.  I still get drawn to the micro brew from the nearby BJs pizza and brewery.  I do well though and stay with no more than two.. I eat before I go so I’m never tempted to the "hoppy hour" half price pizzas.  I watch my friends gobble down the chicken wings and follow it up with pizza.  For my girlfriend and I it was a common occurence every week in addition to gathers with friends.  That was months ago.  I still dabble, because the Jeremiah Red is my weakness.  However, no eating unless it’s a cheat meal.  So.. There is my confession.

Why..

I pulled a back muscle yesterday.  I was trying to find my soild 6 to 8 rep weight for deadlifts..  I just put to much weight with not enough warm up.  I know for sure my form was dead on. Whatever.. I knew it would happen eventually. A couple days of rest and I’ll jump right back on.

I’m quiting my day job..

So in the midst of my waiting for the Position with Nye county to open for me I took a job as a security consultant with an office out of Portland.  My first client was scheduled for 8am and I arrived promt and ready.  After knocking on the door the resident opens the blinds and gives me a slight wave.  She then refuses to answer the door.  After ten minutes of knocking I walked back to my car.  I don’t get it.. They set the appt.. they wanted to talk to me.. I called the office who promptly told me they only set 8pm appt.. not 8am appt! Great.. I was 12 hours early!!! She was probably calling the police as I was pulling out.  This sales thing… is not for me.  I’ll stick with catching the bad guys.

My Gaspari review

I’ve got about a week left or so.. but here’s the skinny since so many of you use it.  My review on stacking Gaspari Super Pump, Size-on, and plasmajet.  I haven’t used any other creatine product and seen so many results.. Super pump has given me great enegery for the workout without making me sick or jittery.. even after coffee.  The Size-on is hard to drink with 24oz of water during my workout and still drink a post workout drink without getting sick.. but that’s just my stomach size. The pumps from the plasma jet and super pump are great! I walk out after a intense workout and feel huge.. temporarily of course since about an hour later Im back to size..

CONS:

I poop explosive diarreah..cha.. cha.. cha.. I’m not kidding.. they are so bad and the gas is so strong with such a stench.. it’s not worth it for me.  My *** has become raw several times from frequent trips to the bathroom.  Even during my workout.  Maybe I’m just not drinking enough water or maybe it’s just how it is.  I only take the min and don’t take extra.

Stretching… or explosive

I worked chest and tris today.  The intensity was great as far as not having a spotter.  What do think the pros and cons are about stretching vs explosive training.  Does stretching with dumbell flys truly give more room for muscle growth or explosive work them harder?  ready… GO!

SO I hit up Golds today..

My trainer closed shop to start sky diving for a living.. I paid Golds Gym $10.00 for a day pass and worked my bis and back.. I’m surrounded by many different types of people.. father and son team (awsome), highschool/college track star in off season, and then this one guy… arms and shoulders were huge.. tats.. head shaven.. and wearing a lifters tank top.. you know the one that barley covers any chest and most of your stomach? 

The dude warms up with some dumbell chest press.. then takes a seat near the weight rack.. 10 minutes later… that’s right 10.. He pulls off 100lb dumbells and sets them next to the bench… 5 minutes later (still not working) he walks over to the empty bench press and puts two 45lbs on both sides.. 10 minutes later.. (still hasnt done either workout) he sits down on the bench resting his heavy dumbells on his knees.. breaths heavy and stares in the mirror for a couple minutes.. Then he does it!

He actually busts out 5 or 6 reps.. sorry.. half reps.. He doesn’t even complete full reps.. the weight is too heavy.  I finished my workout and he still hadn’t gone onto his second set nor hit the actual bench.   Did I forget to mention when he was setting the bar height on the bench he yanked it out and slammed it back in just to make it "clang" througout? 

Really.. ? Come on….

I’m 5′11′’ what’s a good weight and body fat to maintain at? I’m up to 176 to 180 pounds. I still want a little bit more muscle and will start cutting soon.. but how much is enough? 10%? 7%? If I cut now I’ll drop to 170 to 175lbs.. should I build to 190 and cut back to 180? Will I always want more muscle? Whatever happened to just wanting to be a machine instead of just wanting to get bigger?  When did that change.. is it a phase?

I have faith there are people out there who keep track of me, my life, and my progress.. I believe I believe!! I ranked 2 out of 18 for Nye County sheriffs department in NV.  I’m the only lateral so I’m moving to background. Hopefully I’ll be wearing a belt and a badge again in a few short months.
