Todays upper back

Pull ups - 15 body weight

               2 sets of burn out with 15lbs weight in backpack, drop weight and finish with normal body weight

               2 sets of body cycle - 5 dips to burnout (5) sustained cross body pull ups, to burnout with normal pulls at    body weight. 

 3 sets of pull downs at increasing weight 15, 12, 8

3 sets of bent over dumbell rows 15, 12, 8

dumbell curls -

1 set @ 35lbs to 20 reps

1 set of down the rack to burnout starting with 50lbs dumbells and finishing with 20lbs

1 set of bicpet chin ups to burnout

Total time - 50min

Hotel…. sinus infections…

SO Im sitting in a hotel for training this week (and next).  Monday morning at about 4am I woke up with a headache.  Then the pressure around the eyes (but the back of the neck was the worst) started and 4 days later I’m still suffering from the head ache.  I pushed through my chest on Monday.  On Wed I was ready to rock my legs.. I was excited in fact.. (which is great cause I HATE leg day).. but my head ache got worse with each rep.  After 4 sets (including the warm up) on Squats I had to stop.  I still got three sets of leg lifts and a couple dead lifts.. but then I just had to stop! My head was pounding to the point it felt like a migraine! I even started to worry I had a tumor *lol*. 

Anyway.. the legs are still sore.. but not how they usually are so couldn’t have been too bad.  I did some laps in the pool today for some cardio before my head started to pound again.  I had to adjust my workout to Saturday and Sunday because I’ll be training all next week also.

Now, I’m bored out of my mind blogging while sitting on my bed. … and reading every new blog that pops up! Geez.. not sure what I’d do without Bodybuilding.com

Short term Goal REACHED!

My goal was to be 175lbs by summer.  Summer officially started a couple days ago and I’m officially at 176 to 178 depending on the day and water weight.  I posted a couple new progress photos so check them out.. and yes.. I officially tried my first pose… Novice by FAAAR!

Nevada anyone?

Yes..yes… so I miss Law Enforcement.. I tested for Nye County, NV last week.  I’m excited.  Sounds like I’m moving to background and I could be working there in as little as a couple months! The guys here are excited and I have to tell you I’m a bit nervous.  I’ve never lived in the desert and so close to Vegas.. I like Vegas.. for a two day trip every three years.  Totally different element.. Can’t give myself false hope thought because it’s not a done deal just yet. 

On another note.. I’m up to 178lbs now from 167 with 4 months of work.  The mirror shows that not all of it is muscle, but most of it is.  Fitnesswise, I’m much stronger and my strength endurance has increased.  I’m using the next 4 weeks to gain muscle and started a Gaspari Stack which I have to admit has been really great.  The results are much more than I expected based on my experience with other suppls.

My roommate spends most of his time jumping out of planes, but in exchange for rent this month he gave me free training.  If you don’t keep up (and I really don’t think anyone does =-)  ) my personal trainer turned into my roommate a month after I started with him.  Way cool dude.. 

Oh, question… does anyone else using Gaspari gain water weight?  I was under the impression that I wouldn’t, but I must have gained 5lbs in 3 days… Anybody?

Another progress photo update

Progress is coming ever so slowly.. I stopped trying to cut fat and just made sure to eat clean.  My back, shoulders, and chest are growing.. but it feels like its been forever.  Looking back its only been about 12 weeks of true work outs.  I’ve cut most supplements out because of the moeny, but I decided to splurge on a Gaspari Stack since so many people have been using it with good results.  Well see.. I’m generally not a supplement guy.  My goals have changed slightly to increase mass and not concentrate so much on body fat % just yet.  Had I started early winter I could probably cut % for the summer, but I started a bit late.

This weekend I tested for a Sheriffs department outside of Vegas.  If all goes well I’ve been told I could be working there in under a month.  I’ll be alright with that.. Then my goals would again change back to overall machine type fitness. 

Can anybody comment on their experience with Gaspari products?
