Day 3
Another good day!!! 1,600 calories of lean good food. Spent half of the day lifting with maintenance of all the vehicles. Coached little league game. Then I just wrapped up a 20 min run on the small elliptical with 3/4 full resistance. Got two miles, but was a crazy resistance. So tired! Tomorrow is upper body after little league game. Lets see if I can drop 4 lbs this week!!!!!

GREAT DAY!
Wow! What a great day! Jogged 2 miles. Then I hit the bike for a 5 mile interval training routine. After that, Deadlifted. Got the 405 even with low caloric intake. Even got to work in abs after the lift!
What is in store for tomorrow???? Well, depends on weather. I'm hearing rain, so possible the elliptical for a couple miles. If not I'll be running at the local college then biking again.
Looks like I added another challenge to this. I am going to look to do my first 5K after the comp. Can't wait!!!!
Need to win this comp and kill this fat!!!!!
Day 1
Day 1! Weigh in...Came in at 227.4. A little lower than I was thinking it would be! Tonight is cardio! Due to the storms being predicted, it will probably be the home elliptical. Cardio is my nemesis, so I got to make these changes!!!
Everyone at the meeting was talking smack. It seems that just about everyone has it out for me. FUELS MY FIRE!!!!
I been instigating them ever since we started putting together the details. So this is no surprise.

Updated goals - New Start
So my first weigh in is tomorrow. I check this AM and it is 230.2. BF is about 28%.
Hopefully my goal here is realistic. I'd really like to come down to around 207 and around 20% in this 8 week competition. I have my diets and programs mapped out and I am extremely excited to get this rolling! Beginning pics to be posted over the weekend.
Does anyone think this an unrealistic goal for this amount of time?
Any suggestions?

Contest Entry
Finally!
Looks like I'm able to get a contest put together for my work place. I have a buy in and the money going to the winner for fat loss. My training has been slow since I got the new equipment, but my deads are back up to 405 for about 5 or so reps as a max and my bench is back to about 225. Squat to 315. All this after a year rest. However, I feel that strenght is not the issue. Bodyfat is! That is what the contest is for. So hopefully with others around for support and a weekly weigh in, my goals will be met. Pictures to come as this Friday (5/3) is our weigh in. Hopefully I take home the payday in June! (8 Wk program).
So I plan on doing quite a bit it HIIT to work the heart rate and stay away from maxes to work high reps. Along with a more strict diet.
Thanks to the forums I think I have a good routine put together and will post more on it and progress as I achieve it.

Scored new equipment!
Just scored great deal on bench, bar and weights today. Finally I can start a training program with more than two to three days only of training. Hopefully I can start 5-6 day splits. I just need to get a few more items to assist. Now I to sit down and create a routine. I'll have an adjustable bench, olympic bar and rack to be able to do squats. Anyone reading, all suggestions welcome. I was also able to pick up and ellipctical machine.
Great workout Saturday. First day back after a year break! Supersetted Biceps with Triceps, then did some abs. Ended with Deadlifts with a good friend. Felt great to lift 405 again. Keeping it light for little until I get into a routine again.
I got to take some new measurements. I know they won't be to my liking but I guess I need to start tracking my come back. Also, go to come up with a better routine. I don't want to fall into a boring routine like before. Doing just about the same things for about three years.
Finally Getting Getting Back
Well, it has been a year break. Much muscle has been lost and fat gained. But a an amazing little son gained. Now back to the gym this weekend. Starting with arms and ending with Deads. Last I left off I was deading 500. Wonder how much strenght I lost. I'm going to focus on body this time rather than strenght and powerlifting. Time to refine but the bad habits I started are going to be hard to cut.....

Gottsa get started!!!
Wow! The last I used this was back in '09. Very sad of me. Training since then has been off and on. Mostly off. And when on, not focused. Much has happened since my last entry. From unemployment to the unexpected, yet very blessed birth of our third child. But, since I got to get back in focus. I have pretty much no time for gym memberships. I did very recently pick up an elliptical and a crossbow by weider. Now just got to get into a routine! Anyone with a good crossbow routine or even home routine hit me up!!! I keep reading boards. No free wieghts yet. On my Christmas list. Wieght up to 236. BF not measured yet, not gonna be my best. I'll be updating this at least weekly now and plan to get on board ASAP. Thanks for reading! JB
Changes
Wow. A lot of changes over the past few months. Motivation going from off the wall crazy to next to none, now finally coming back up. Goes to show how much influence training partners have on you. I'm finally back on track and lifting regularly. I just need to try and fit in more cardio. I'm working on correcting nutirition issues and took some training advice from some others that seem to be working. Spltting training up between gyms and doing some sessions alone has been a huge help. I still need to drop my BF% though. Any advice is welcome. Thanks for listening. -JB
Suggestions
Hello,
Hope all is well for all out there chasing their goals. Each day is one step closer. Great cardio Friday PM and Arms/shoulder workout yesterday AM. Staying close to diet, just missed one meal all weekend and stayed on track with high protein, low fat and good carbs. Time got away from me when at a family Easter egg hunt with my kids. Anyway, back on track with 5 meals per day. Any diet suggestions and or training suggestions always welcome. I always kinds an open mind.

Leg Day
Legs day today. Squats, presses, extensions, curls, stiff deads, can't forget calves. I can't wait! They drain you but they are soo beneficial! I love it. I pound them for an hour and 15 min. So tired, but you can't beat the feeling of accomplishment! Going to start to write down progress stats for BF loss and hopefully take some pics. I'm thinking of bi-weekly stats. Does anyone review stats weekly?

The Start
After 5 years of lifting and finally putting on some muslce size. It is time to trim down the fat. Currently about 29%. I don't have a full out plan yet. Working on getting an eliptical for the house for AM cardio. I have decreased training days to 3 days per week. (Due to family priorities.) Hopefully I can get that back to at least 4 soon. I have increased reps, workout speed and added additional exercises. Diet is has also been changing. Much cleaner! I know this will be a long road, So that is why I decided to post on here. Not only can I track this but hopefully will get some good feedback. Plan to add addtional info in the near future.
