It is June 26th, and I am 3 weeks into starting over on the weight loss. I got my new teaching job and we had a celebratory dinner, then we had another, and another, and another. So a year later I am 10lbs up from where I left off. I’ve been hitting the gym hard, but am unable to do several exercises because my left arm is messed up. I seem to have an irritated ulnar nerve, and tricep tendonitis. I’m not sure what I did, but I’m definitely off any pushing exercises for some time. I’m not sure what I weighed 3 weeks ago, but I’m already feeling a little slimmer.

I tried Sizeon creatine this month and had wonderful results with it. My muscles actually felt bigger while on it, and I felt definite strength gains. However I chickened out halfway through the month because the scale kept going up and up and up. I stopped taking it when I was 5lbs up. I’m going to see what my BF is at the end of the month, and as long as it is down, I will take it again in February without stopping it. I am now at 223lbs, one pound short of my 20lb goal for this month. I’m still damn proud though. On a negative note, my knees have been sore/stiff after leg days. Possibly from squats, but I’m trying to narrow down what is irritating them. Also, I feel somewhat "deflated" after stopping the creatine.

I’m going to start at my lowest health point. I was at 242lbs, and my wife and I were eating out at least 6 or 7 times a week. I had extemely low energy, and poor self esteem. Any physical activity was becoming tedious, and I was even starting to lose physical interest in my wife because it would mean exertion. It was about this time, that my 7 year old nephew sucumbed to leukemia. This loss of a family member put things in perspective for me. My wife and I went to eat at a restaurant that night, and a man that was at least 400lbs sat near us. I decided that night that I need to start living life, instead of just fading away.
My wife and I started working out at Anytime Fitness 5 days a week. It was pretty much all cardio, and we were miserable sore for probably at least a month. Month two we added weights a few days a week to the workouts. Followed of course by another round of "so sore we wish we were dead". The third month I’m finally beggining to feel strong and confident again. I’m 14lbs down, and I’m stronger than I was in high school. I’m still planning to put on a lot more muscle, and plan to see what my body looks like at 200lbs even.
