Where were you working out before that allowed obnoxious teenagers to ruin your workouts or gym experience?
I agree with you that you need the right vibe to get a good workout but I hate it when a small minority of people can ruin a person’s business like they may be doing to the person who owns the gym you were referring to. I have only experienced this kind of behavior in a gym once and as is my custom I went to the manager and said my piece. When that did not solve the problem, in fact nothing was done because as I found out later the manager was buddies with the individuals who were causing the problems, and it was not only me who was having their workouts compromised, I found out who the owner was and set up a private meeting and told him what was going on. The end result was that the manager was disciplined and ended up quitting, the three people who were causing the problems had their memberships revoked and I had a free 3 month extension added to my membership because as the owner said, he wanted to reward someone who had the guts and tenacity to find him and let him know what was going on in his gym rather than just quit and go somewhere else. Also new signage was posted as to gym etiquette and rules and the problem never occurred again.

LOL. I too have similar problem. At my gym, people are allowed to smoke at the bar. YEP!! I did complain to the owner but he doesn’t do anything about it because he’s one of the smokers. So I try to workout at an hour when I know that the smokers aren’t there yet. It only bothers me when I’m on or near the cardio machines. My point is that nothing or no one will stand in my way of doing what I want to do to achieve my goals. It’s the nearest gym at a safe walking distance.
