Impressed with intra workout supplements during workouts…

I have been training non stop since starting my fat loss diet back in January of this year and sometimes doing two a day workouts and started noticing a couple months ago that my energy levels and intensity wasnt as strong as it was a month before. I looked up on the supersite here about it to see about getting more energy for workouts. I was already using pre-workout supplements like Gaspari Nutritions superpump and that worked good but into the middle of workouts noticed my energy levels drastically dropped.  I heard about intra workout supp’s that you drink during your workouts and was hooked.  I tried Gaspari Nutritions size on and noticed increased energy like I had at the beginning of my workout all the way through the end of it. 

 I have never used intra workout supplements like size on ever before and must say from now on I wont train without it.  The focus and energy I maintain in my workouts by replenishing myself during my workouts is amazing.  When I finish my last rep and set I feel like I can do it all over again.  I would highly recommend trying Size on and x-tend during your workouts as I was very impressed like every other Gaspari product by the results I get from it.

new twist on eating cereal in the morning…

Decided to add protein powder to my milk before adding the cereal and mixing it then adding the cereal to get some protein in with the meal.  A new twist of getting some extra protein in my diet with a light meal.  Make sure to add fresh fruit as well for the added flavor and nutrient content.  The protein powder adds surprising flavor to bland tasting cereal I go with Optimum strawberry/ bananna flavor.

fat free versions of my favorite foods

Check out all the websites out there on yahoo that offer recipes for fat free versions of your favorite foods.  I was surprised how good they taste, and to tell ya the truth its been so long since I ate the fatty versions these are nice treats like pizza, cake, fries, etc…  Most of the recipes taste so good that you will wonder if they were actually good for you if you didnt know what was in them.  Eating chicken breast and tuna all the time is good but its nice to mix it up so it doesnt get boring.

ordering from bodybuilding.com is the only way to go…

Ordering supplements from this site has been the easiest and most reliable site I have ever ordered from.  It helps living in Washington state and having there warehouse in Idaho since it only takes a couple days to get my stuff.  :)   I order everything related to supplements and anything fitness related from this site.  I will never go to a GNC or get my supplements from anywhere else but this site.

shoulder workout this morning

Did my regular shoulder work out for Monday increasing the weight of my front, side, and rear lateral raises from 40 to 45 for the front and from 35 to 40 for side and rear delts.  Looking to keep upping the weight gradually to build more stronger overall shoulder growth.

mission to a huge lower body

Did my calf workout yesterday at my local Bally’s lifting 95 pound dumbells in each hand for 9-11 reps 4 sets total with 1-2 minute breaks in between.   I’am tying to increase the weight steadily tryingfor fivepounds increase every week until it gets to heavy then will stay at that weight until my strenght builds up to go heavier.

When I first started weight training which was eight years ago the only main options for me was books and magazines like FLEX and Mens Fitness for advice on weight lifting and nutrition.  Now, there are sites like bodybuilding.com that supply very informative articles on every single topic relating to this hobby.  I wish I would have found this site sooner in my training routine because since finding this site have accumulated a lot of knowledge about weightlifting, nutrition,cardio, and supplements.  Many thanks bodybuilding.com!!

How I lost 40 pounds in four months!!

Wasnt easy thats for sure. I stuck to low fat (low saturated fat most importantly) high protein foods first off because nutrition and diet is one of the most important things for me in losing fat. If your like me you will be doing a lot of checking on labels for food. It may look cheesy but helped me with finding the kind of food my body needed to grow muscle and lose fat. I ate a lot of tuna, chicken breast, power bars, and low fat beef jerky for snacks. I spread out my meals every three hours and ate enough to satisfy my stomach but not feel bloated. Must warn you I spent a lot of money on food since I ate a lot of healthy food which unfortunately is a lot more expensive than going to mcdonalds and buying off the dollar menu.

What kept me going was my goal of getting in shape for hawaii and that no matter the price I would stay dedicated even if it mean sacrificing certain things in my life to obtain that goal. I went to the gym six days a week with five of those days doing weights. For cardio I built up my stamina and conditioning taking it slow at first 20 minutes at an honest 65 speed on the eliptical. After a month I gradually increased the intensity but keeping it at 20 minutes. As soon as I could go 75 speed for 20 minutes and not feeling winded I increased my time to 25 minutes. As soon as I could go that time at 75 speed I increased to 30 minutes which took me about two months truthfully to not get heavy breathing but sure sweating a lot. When I hit a month before my trip I made sure to not go slower than 80 on the eliptical and stayed on there for no less than 35 minutes usually going 40-45 minutes at high intensity no breaks.

Make sure to rehydrate if you sweat as much as I do doing this. Eating a healthy diet and sticking to a strict workout program allowed me to lose 40 pounds in four months. Again, I’m not going to say this was easy or for the undedcated because if your like me and work full time and go to school two nights a week and already dont have a lot of free time it can get unmotivating. Stick to your goal and change up your routines to help make it more interesting if you need to. Good luck!!

Hawaii vacation day 2

Checked out the gym at the resort which was pretty small but had state of the art equipment in there which was cool.  Did a cardio workout for 30 minutes on the elliptical and then did a shoulder workout using the only piece of weight equipment there which was a huge cable machine that you could do different excercises with.  Checked out Kaui’s north shore went to princeville and had some sashami at a local place called the dolphin.  Then saw a ton of roosters everywhere like how we have crows here they have roosters.
