Count down

March 14, 2008

Four weeks and counting till the NPC Metropolitan.  I can’t wait it’s not a huge show, but for me it is. Last year I took last place in both the open and the novice division.  I didn’t take the easy way out and blame the judges, call it politics, or any of the other things I could have done.  I was beat and there is nothing I can do but use it as fuel.  In the past year taking last place has pushed every workout, every cardio session, every crunch, every meal, and I put on about 10 pounds.  My goal is the same as everyone else’s WIN.  For me there is a different version of winning, and that is not placing last.  Would I like to walk off with a 1st sure I would; who wouldn’t?

I wouldn’t compete if I didn’t think it was possible to walk of the stage with a first place. Do I think it is harder because I train in a small gym and I don’t train with any of the pro or high ranking bodybuilders, yea I do.  That doesn’t stop me from pushing myself as hard as possible.  In the end the only one I am proving anything to now is me. I know I gave it all I had last time, now I know that all I gave was not enough.  Now its 200% and nothing less.

In four weeks you can build a house so you can sure as hell bring up any lagging body part that needs work.

Goals for last 4 weeks:

Get my body fat to 3%

Add some size / definition to my calves

Put some more definition into my left leg, it trails a little

9 weeks and a long road ahead

February 7, 2008

Ok so we are in the final stretch before the show.  Nine weeks left, and I’m really starting to wonder.  I look a lot better then I did this time last year, but as we all know I am not happy with my final placing so I have to work that much harder for the next nine weeks and 3 days.  This time I am looking at a goal weight of 200, but I have a feeling it will be closer to 190 when I get rid of my water.

As of right now I’m still looking kind of pudgy, but I looked like poop until about six weeks last time, so the hope is to be at six weeks from competition condition in a week and a half, highly possible since I’m losing 2-3 lbs a week.  The great part is I look a lot thicker then before, so 200lbs, and a top five placing here I come.

Welcome!
