uhh so i weigh myself every Sunday at the same time of the day before i go to the gym. It is my once a week weigh in just to see where i am at. For the last 2 weeks i have weighed almost the exact same staying at 164lbs varying only by decimals. One would think that this isn’t beneficial as in the weightlifting community, you want to improve weekly. This would entail either gains or losses based on your goal. Currently i am looking to go to the beach in August so i am cutting. I have weighed the same for 2-3 weeks now but i am losing body fat consistently. I am down to about 8%. If i am lowering my body fat(which i check with calipers) and retaining weight then it could be said that i am gaining muscle whilst losing fat. Sounds ****in good to me, they said it can’t be done. I am certain it is no miracle but i do hope it continues until beach time. Then it is back to putting on some mass. I have a goal to bench 300 by the years end. I would like to weigh about 170lbs at 5-10% fat so it could be possible that i weigh closer to 175 and have more fat on me. I typed this out real quick at work and the blog is a mess but hey…. its not like anyone reads it but me. If, however, you do read this, I apologize for the cornucopia of grammatical errors and typos that you drolled through to get to this point.

I am back in the gym and my workout has changed. Abdominals no longer do any weight over 50lbs ever, and i mean EVER. My parents bought me a weighlifting belt (i guess they thought that was more efficient than paying for more surgery) . I have been lifting for about 3 weeks now and i am almost back to where i was. My back and chest suffered the most from resting, of course as did my abs since i was basically forced not to use them at all. I have a new lifting schedule which goes as follows
Sunday: Chest+abs
Monday: Biceps, Triceps(alternate which comes first weekly) and Forearms
Tuesday: Back + light abs
Wednesday: Legs and Shoulders (alternate which comes first weekly)
Thursday: Chest +abs
Friday: Back + calves
I started out doing high reps (sets of 15-20 for everything) and i have progressed slowly into doing 10,10,8,6 for most everything and the occasional 5×5. My weight is about 165 and i intend to drop that down to about 160-162 before i go on vacation in 3 weeks to the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.
Thanks for all the support i got during the hernia and down time afterwords. Which wasnt much from a bodybuilding.com stand point but to all my friends and family, none of which who use this site, i say thank you. If anyone has any questions about how i dealt with my umbilical hernia surgery just ask.

ok soooo I GOT A HERNIA… yeah it sucks and it all happened so fast. Now, one day later, i had emergency surgery and got all fixed up. As we all know though, this means i can’t lift. So i am looking for your help. What can i do to maintain a physique while recovering from a hernia. Is it best for me to try and cut now and eat light and walk a lot. What should i do since i cant lift heavy weights. Please i hope there is someone out there with a good answer.

yeah ok so bodyspace emailed me to say its been 2 WEEKS since my last blog. Sorry bodybloggers i know i have been slacking. The good news is, i have only been slacking on my posts not my lifting. I have gained weight up to about 170 lbs. That IS 15LBS however, About half of it is fat and half of it is muscle. I continue to improve in my lifts every week. My goal is to make it up to about 175 or 180 before i start cutting all that fat away. Wish me luck and i will try to post more frequently

Ok so i went to the burn center today and they gave me the ok to work out. I am back on my diet adjusted to a bit more high calorie for gains. I gained 5 lbs whilst out of commission so im sure it was fat. I quit my diet for those few days i was off. Im gonna try to keep it around 2000kcals for the time being and see how that suits me. Ill see if on this new plan if i lose a bit of fat and then ill start to add calories. About 250 a week for a little while. I have the feeling this is going to be really good for me. I have 2 days cardio and 1 day of HIIT a week to try and keep the fat off. Also on days i dont do either of those ill do a 20 minute walk just to burn a bit. I tend to gain fat easily so hopefully this will keep it off. Oh and dont forget high protein low carb on sundays when i rest.

ok so as i posted last. I have 2nd degree burns covering my left arm and first degree on the left half of my face. AND I CANT LIFT.. it fricken sucks. On top of that i find myself sitting at home because im on narcotics and cant go to work and i am losing control of my diet. Boredom is getting the best of me and i hate it. I am burning no calories and im certain ill gain a few pounds of fat. Blah i just want to get through this week and back to the Gym. Okay now affffter that rant i descided now is the perfect time to change up my lifting schedule. The new training schedule is as follows.
**note** all runs are done 8 hours prior to lifting, all walks are done directly after lifting, for Abs only (home)indicates a light workout done at home prior to bed and (Gym) is an intense lift done at the gym
Monday- Chest+Abs(Gym)+2mile morning run
Tuesday-Back+Traps+20minute walk+Abs(home)
Wednesday- Legs+20minute walk+Abs(home)
Thursday- Shoulders+Abs(Gym)+ 2 mile morning run
Friday- Arms+20minute walk+Abs(home)
Saturday- 25min(including warm up and cool down) HIIT sprints + Abs(home)
Sunday- REST
Please if you read this and have questions or comments feel free to ask or let me know what you think

ok so plans change unexpectedly. I got caught in a fire and now have second degree burns on my arm and 1st degree burns on my face. I cannot lift this week due to risk of infection… I am going to hate this for sure. Mabe it will build up some rest and strength for lifting. I am going to gain body fat rapidly which is going to depress me expecially when i know i cant do anything to make myself sweat.

I did a bit more research and i have discovered perhaps i have over set my goal for what i want and how fast i wish to achieve it. I would like to limit my gains to 1/2 to 1lb per week preferably leaning towards 1lb. So in 12 weeks i would like to be 167-169lbs. It is possible that i extend my bulking further to reach 170-175 but i absolutely love being slender and i have the feeling by the time i am that big i will want to cut again. So it goes
