It’s OFFICIAL… progress pics are up!

February 15, 2009

After 1 month of kicking my a$$ in the gym, I finally had the nerve to take some progress pics and post them…

Overall, I was pleased with them, but not satisfied… I know I can always get better, but just having the nerve to post them was a big step for me!

As always, I wish many happy workouts to you all!:)

Nervous All Around

February 4, 2009

So I’m getting ready to take my progress pictures next week, and am getting nervous in what I’m going to see.  I know I’ve made progress, but hope I won’t get discouraged with what the photos look like compared to a month ago when I first started.

Yes, I realize it’s going to take months to see the kind of progress I want to see, but my hope is that my hard work & effort in starting to change my body actually shows.  I’ve been working my a$$ off this past month in the gym lifting w/cardio, and just hope that it’s obvious.  I can tell a difference, but it’s hard sometimes to know that when I look at myself everyday.  I’m hoping to see it!

As always, hope everyone is continuing to "grind" it out as I am and wishing everyone much success w/their goals;)

It’s Like a Drug!

January 27, 2009

I’ve been doing really well lately with my diet & exercise programs.  I don’t feel like I’ve seen huge results, but I’m told otherwise that improvements are being made!  I know that I have to keep at it in order to get the big picture, so I just keep plugging away.

However, when it comes to being active I’ve found it to be quite intoxicating, in a sense that the after effects that I feel are amazing!  I’m completely and utterly worn out but I feel so good about sweating and getting my heart rate up!  I’m sore from lifting, but am starting to really enjoy feeling the burn.  I’m sure this is like most people in their love of becoming/being fit, but I felt it was worthy to blog about!

I’m getting anxious to take my progress pictures in about 2 weeks, therefore, I can see how much I’ve actually changed in a month.  I’m hoping for some good results, and REALLY hope I’m not discouraged with 0 results…

For those of you that took the time to read this blog…  I wish you many successful workouts!:)

Much love (as always:),

Jamie

Feeling Good Thus Far!

January 22, 2009

I haven’t seen any super results yet, but I’m feeling so good about myself lately.  I’ve been eating healthy, more frequent, small meals, taking my supplements, & working out regularly!  It’s nice to get on a regimine that I can follow.  I’m seeing some results in my abs and definitely my legs, even though squats & lunges are a BIG pain in the a$$, to me anyway!:)  I’m getting a bit bored with my cardio, and thinking of signing up for cardio kickboxing class, but have yet to find a good place to do that.

I’m still going strong & haven’t given up faith yet, so I’m sure pretty soon, I’ll start seeing results.  I have yet to re-weigh myself, cause I know that muscle weighs more than fat, so I’m staying away from things that could descourage me.  My main focus is my body fat, and lowering that number as much as I can.  Thanks for all the people on here that are helping to keep me motivated and for the sweet words of encouragement!  You guys are awesome!:)

Time Consuming Activites!

January 14, 2009

If you’ve seen my profile, I am a teacher & a coach, so sometimes finding time to workout can be somewhat tricky!

For instance, I want to workout this Friday, but I do not get done with my coaching duties till almost 5-5:30 and was given tickets to a pro basketball game starting at 7pm; therefore, can’t turn them down!  Should I workout Saturday & Sunday to compensate for missing the Friday workout?

I’ve been thinking about waking up early on Friday morning to finish my workout, but that would require me getting up at 5 in the morning… something that sounds TIRING!!!  Any suggestions????

Pretty Motivated After Taking Pictures!

January 13, 2009

Oh my word!  After taking my pictures it really shows me that I’m needing to pick up my workout and stick with it this time!  Any tips for working out & diets would be MUCH appreciated!  I’m looking to keep my motivation at a high level at all times!  I’m hoping I can see progress with in a matter of weeks, because that is the biggest downfall I have.  I get impatient when I don’t see immediate results, but am determined to not let that discourage me!

Much love to all and good luck with everyone’s workout!
