“THE INJURY”

Well, it all started yesterday, when  my coach canceled my Weight Lifting class. I was so ****ING PISSED!!! I was sooo siked to workout with my new supplement that I had took before class. Then he goes and cancel the ****ing class, what type of Bullshit is that. So I skipped the remanding classes I had. I left campus to go home and I had remembered that there was another gym in town, not to far from the college. So I go and sign up a day. I had to gave up $8 to get in. (I know that seems dumb of me, but I’m a "GymRat" and I can’t help it.)  So, I go on and work on my Traps, Shoulders, and Legs. Soon as I get to my legs, I see this "Leg Press" machine that I always wanted to try out. I haven’t Leg Pressed in bout 3 months. I wasn’t to sure if I still had the strength in my legs. I was Leg Pressing 420lbs at that time. So, when I got underneath it, the shit felt light. I was surprised to find out. So I just kept going up and up, soon I finally found my limit. I was Leg Pressing 630lbs (5 sets of 15). So when I was done with it, I started to take the 1 45lbs off the left side and I had moved on the right side and just took all of them off. By the time I had finished taking all the plates off the right side, I was so TIRED. So, when I got back to the left side, I still had bout nearly 300lbs up there. I decided to pull all of them at once, so it would be easier for me to get to. Once I had pulled the remanding 6 plates, the whole machine tilted over and smashed me on the left side of my face. It felt like someone had beaten my face in with a pole. I couldn’t move or nothing, just sat there. When the people that worked there told me to look up, it was blood everywhere. It was a pond of blood in my gloves. That shit hurted soooo bad, mind you, it was still nearly 300lbs on the side where it tilted over, so imagine that. So the part where you put your feet on to push the machine, the edge of that smashed my face in. I got a gash on my top nose near my eyebrow, the left bottom side of my nose going to my mouth was swollen (my top tooth is loosen up by the impact), and I got a gash on the bottom of my left eye. I nearly lost my "LEFT EYE". So the people said, "I might of put at crack on the bottom of my left eye socket". So Yeah. Oh, and could you believe after all that was done, I still continued my workout. LOL!!! People was in shocked, why am’I still here working out. LOL!!! It’s not the simple fact that I had paid "$8" to get my money worth, I just love working out. Oh, and I’m a tough S.O.B! LOL!!! So now my face is all beaten up and still swollen, but it’s all good though. :) It’s been awhile since I’d felt great pain like that. HEHEHE!!!  So, thats what happened to me. You got any injuries you’ve costed in the Gym Life???

uuummm, yeah. a pond of blood and almost losing an eye socket?

Yeah, sounds like an emergency room visit. Stop playing. Although that sounds extreme. You’re a better man than me if this really happened.

Keep pumping though. With a mentality like that, you’ll definitely be going places in this bodybuilding game. Just uuummm, don’t skip classes anymore either.

Ow! That’s all I can say - glad that you seem to have come through this alright though.

Damn son!!! I understand your eagerness but you gotta be careful not to over do it…I’ve had a semi-similar episode where I overworked myself squatting too much and had to run to the trash can too puke, but no major gym injuries minus some strains and little muscle pulls here and there…or smashing my finger between weights. Well, at least you have survived this incident and still have vision and function of your eye….take it easy and rest up and don’t make that mistake again!!
