BoFlex my ass!!
This week I went to visit a friend who had a bowflex, and I’m thinking "sweet a bowflex, this will be hard, challenging and fun", WRONG. I put all the resistance on there just to see if I could do it, I think is said it was like 350lbs, but it was easy as hell. I know what 350lbs feels like on the bench and this thing did not compare, the resistance wasn’t even continuous. And to top it all off my buddy told me he paid like $2,000 for it. (WOW) Maybe it was the version he had cause I’ve seen like twenty different types I hope that they all are not like that. On the flip side I can see how this machine might work for someone just beginning but if you’re serious about lifting and power then you may be disappointed

Your right. My brother has a Bowflex and every time I go over there I have to try it. I forget how high his goes but it’s not 350 (I ain’t that strong) but I can put all his rods on there and lift it. Not quite like putting plates on a bar. Good for a change though.

Yup, I’ve tried the ultimate needs WAY more resistance. Good for the average jo schmo who doesn’t know and doesn’t want to know his way around free weights though. The resistance is supposed to be variable though.
