On Saturday I was feeling a bit lazy. Too cold to do anything outside and my house was already clean so I decided to pop in a pilates video and do a bit of exercising. It takes a lot for my legs to get sore so while doing the video I figured I’d really push it. Holy cow!! I woke up yesterday and my legs were screaming at me and they still are today. I figure it’s a good thing and I really need to add more squats and lunges into my routine. I will stick with the upper body for a few days or at least until I can walk up and down the stair normal.

I pushed it hard yesterday and increased the weight on the machines and boy do I feel it today. I was a bit hard trying to get my arms up over my head to put ona my shirt. Arm pits really hurt but it’s a good pain. I want to get the biceps and shoulders to really start showing definition. When I was younger I never did weights onthe shoulders because my shoulders were already wide and I thought that if I did weights on the shoudlers I would look like a football player now they are my week point that I have to really push at to get defined.
I’m giong to increase the weight on the legs today and see if I can’t get the quads to start popping a bit more. Theplace I go doesn’t have a glute press machine and I really miss it but I’ll just have to find other exercises to get the glutes tight.

It’s snowing on today…….What crappy Birthday weather. At least I got in my cardio for the day, inside of course. It’s too cold to run outside and it was raining earlier.

Well it my birthday today and I can honestly say that I’m in better shape and happier with myself then I was when I was in my 20’s. My husband took me out to eat last night and I had 2 glasses of wine and now my head is killing me today. I can’t drink like I did in my 20’s which is fine with me. My cheat meal of the week was a big cinnamon roll for breakfst. Not the healthiest choice but it’s my birthday.

Here I sit and a convention and my plans were to relax without the kids and exercise every free minute I got. I was also going to run in a 5K in the morning. I’ve been runing during my lunches to get ready for it and I was also going to run with a lady who is at the convention with me. We went out last night and had a steak dinner and a few drinks and then this morning I woke up sick. I’m in a total fog and can’t hardly see straight. If I feel like this tomorrow I won’t be able to run much less get out of bed. I was looking forward to running with a co worker and doing the 5K but I guess I have next year.
Also when I packed my bag I put in a resistant band, ankle weights, and a 10 lb weight so I could workout in between meetings. Yeah…they haven’t moved yet. How pathetic

Does any one use Bi-pro and if so can you tell me the best way to use it? My husband actaully makes the protein in protein powder drinks and protein used to make all other high protein items sold on the market. He was telling me that the Bi-pro is higher in protein and easier to mix and is smoother then protein powder. I am going to have him get me some but I’m not quite sure how to mix it. Is it about the same as the regular protein power drinks? I know I can use it in the blender with fruit and ice but when I’m in a rush I wold like to just mix it in the shaker and drink it on the way to work.

I went to the health food store to buy some Ezekiel bread. I’ve read so much about it and how great it is and how many different things you can make with it so I thought I’ll give it a try. I had a slice this morning with my grapefruit and protein shake. I really liked it, it’s not as grainy as I thought it was going to be. I don’t think I’l have a problem eating it al up. I’m going to let my mother in law know about it since she’s in to trying to stay healthy and active, it’s something that I think she’ll really enjoy. If you haven’t tried it yet, I suggest going and getting a loaf and trying it.

Can anyone give me some advice on which exercises really make the biceps pop. I have muscular arms but I want the 2 defined bumps.
