Deep Gullies & Wide Rivers…
I’ve reached a real low point in my life the few months and because of a bunch of crap happening in my life yet again, I’ve learned a lot of lessons. One is, no matter how deep the gully or how wide the river is, there is always dry land on the opposite side. This situation has taken up my ‘mojo’ so to speak. I let it steal my ambition and determination for working out & clean eating, only to gain it back again. I’d get ahead, only to fall behind. The affects are not always as I’d like, but the one thing I can appreciate is the human spirit to keep on keeping on, to never give up the fight, to climb another mountain one step at a time. With this in mind, I can push through this down period in my life and come out for the better, knowing that deep gullies & wide rivers can’t keep me down. Now, where did I put my dumbells?

When I hit a low point in my life a few years back I remembered something I had read in a book… a proverb from the Maasai Tribe in Africa - "Meetai dikir nemesheyui" - "There is no hill that never ends".
Take care.

About 7 years ago I was going through the roughest time of my life. After seeing me more depressed than I had ever been for longer than ever, my dad was both upset, hurting for me and a little angry. He said, Joe, ya know the sun’s gonna come up tomorrow whether you want it to or not." It’s simple but it stuck. It just matters what we do with each day. It’s a choice. Keep pushing thruogh!
