My life is ever busy. Work, kids, and my girl. We moved, had a month full of birthdays and more to come. Going out of town for the 3rd time since we moved. Ughh. Well we, me and my girl, have made a dedicated effort to eat better only to give into working late and grabbing take out. Then grabbing some pizza and beer on a whim… really I was just tired and hungry.
I really want to get back in the gym but I haven’t got a program or a schedule of days to work out together yet. Hopefully I will spend some time with that tommorow and have my closthe ready to go in my gym bag so I can get a workout in.

Well another January another season of resolutioners at the gym. This time I am one of them. Trying to just get back to where I was last summer. I wasn’t in great shape but ceratianly better than where I am now. I have been putting serious focus into my diet and it has drastically improved. I also gave up soda for the year, which has been easier than I thought so far. I just didn’t realize how much I let my body change over the last several months. Workouts I am doing now would have been a warm up a year ago. But for now daily progress is what I strive for. I have hope that by tax day I can be back to where I was just 7 months ago, and from there rid myself of the love handles that I have had since my early teens.

I just reviewed my blog and realize that, I consistently have the same problems with training. Now to negotiate these problems with myself will be the next step. I drink whcih is counter productive to my workouts. I go out on weekends and don’t get enough rest which is counter productive to my recovery. These things all need to be balanced out. I got some thinking to do.

Right now I am starting to see some progress in the mirror. Maybe not anything drastic but more definition in my shoulders and arms. My stomach is getting tighter even though I need to focus more on my diet. Overall I am pretty happy with the way the last few weeks went. I am excited to find a new training program again and see more results.

I am certainly making progress at the gym right now. My strength is increasing which is my first goal… I am wondering how often I should take progress pics, weights and measurements. I know last time I did pics every two weeks and measurements everymonth. I just don’t know if it is encouraging or discouraging since you may not see progress in 2 weeks??? I am going to try for new PRs at the end of the month and take pics which will be 18 days from now. Then I will be changing the set/rep scheme on my routine so I guess I can measure from then until I change it up next time.?. We will have to see how I feel then. For now my strength is improving and that is great!

I have a workout partner that works hard every time we go to the gym.. I never realized how helpful that could be.
I am getting stronger and am starting to notice some results in the mirror. I need to take some before pics.
I am also thinking end of the month I need to switch the routine up a little but I am not sure what kind of peridozation I would like to follow.

Worked out three times so far this week. It’s going well. I finally have a partner to go with. He pushes a lot more weight than I do but we work it out. Progress soon to come I am sure.
