ive been talking to a few friends who have told me that to build muscle successfully first you must put on a considerable ammount of weightin fat. is this true????

im 15 n recently joined a gym, easer to build muscle and heard creatine is one of the most effective supplements. however ihave heard it can have bad effects. il b greatful for any info

im 15 and have startd goin to a gym. i also am using a whey protein supplement. i have hard alsorts of rumors about working out and takin supplements. Firstly that it stunts your growth, and secondly that lifting wieghts at this age can damage muscles in future. i do not know wether or not they are right and would be greatful on any info.
