20090830 Weighted pullups 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 50, 50 and then did a set of 10 with no weight.  Tried to hold at the top for a split second.

20090829 5 rounds 95lb power snatch and 400m run

my results: round 1 10 reps snatch, 1/4 mile run at 8.6, round 2 15 reps and 1/4 mile run in 8.7mph, round 3-5 15 reps and 8.8 mph.  tough workout.  no joke.  loved the feeling of being done with it.

Overhead Squats 3-3-3-3-3

my results: 95-95-95-115-135  Took a little while to get my hips/lower back to loosen up.  This is not a movement I am completely used to yet.  Also did 2 sets of 10 pullups.  PERSONAL BEST on my first set of dips (25), second set was 15.  2 sets of GHD situps (20, 20).  All in all a good workout.

20090826 Run/rest

Ran 2.5 miles this morning.  Taking the day off of WODs due to soreness and fatigue.  Travelling tomorrow to school so I may not have access to a gym until Friday.  If that’s the case I will do some Tabata work.

20090825 Thrusters, hang power cleans, Sumo DLHPs

As many rounds of 5 thrusters, 7 hanging power cleans, and 10 Sumo Deadlift High Pulls with 95lbs as possible in 20 minutes.

 My results: 6 rounds in 18:30.  Couldn’t go any more than that.  Grip was failing and forearms were burning.  Sweating like a pig.  Going to be sore in the morning.

20090824 “Cindy”

Max rounds in 20 minutes of: 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 air squats.  My results: 15 rounds

And I’m hurting pretty good tonight.  Crazy to think that I ultimately did 75 pullups, 150 pushups, and 225 squats.

20090821 Walking Lunges–Pullups–Situps

Round 1: 100ft walk lunge, 21 Pullups, 21 Situps  Round 2: 100ft walk lunge, 18 Pullups, 18 Situps  Round 3: 100ft walk lunge, 15 Pullups, 15 Situps, Round 4: 100ft walk lunge, 12 Pullups, 12 Situps  Round 5: 100ft walk lunge, 9 Pullups, 9 Situps Round 6: 100ft walk lunge, 6 Pullups, 6 Situps for time.

My results are as follows (still struggling with volume of pullups and kipping form): Round 1: 17 Pullups and 21 Situps, Round 2: 16 Pullups, 18 Situps  Round 3 and on as written.  Time 17:22  I’m planning on being sore tomorrow from this.

150 wall ball shots at a 10ft target.  My home-made medicine ball is only 13.5lbs, but it’s all I’ve got.  Time was 7min22sec.  It was tough, and I’m really not liking the idea of using a ball that’s 6.5 lbs heavier!  Oh, and I ran 2 1/2 miles a couple hours before the workout.

20090819 Pullups, Dips, Burpees

So today is scheduled as a rest day, but I just felt like working out today and I needed to make up for missing Sunday’s workout.  I still have no rings to use so no muscle-ups.  I did 5 rounds of 7 pullups, 7 dips, and 7 burpees in 10:12.  A short, intense workout.  Burpees still kick my a$$.
