TODAY I COMPETED IN MY FIRST OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING COMPETITION.
I snatched 80 kilo, which is about 176 lbs… i didnt catch low, i wasnt used to it so i powered it up.
I clean and jerked 100 kilo, which is about 221 lbs… same thing i caught in high in power position. my other two attempts i went for 110, then 115 kilo… i got real low o try and catch it but my elbows were low and the bar slipped ovr the front… i should have sat back more but o well.
not to mention i was wearing running shoes bc i didnt have weightlifing shoes… hopefully i can find a place where i can get a pair that it isnt too expensive.
also i weighed in at 186.25
the weight class was 187.25 or 85 kilo
i had fun, and i plan to do these competitions more!

well today my gym was closed, so i had to do something to workout.
a group from my gym got together for a beach workout.
1st we ran for twenty minutes on the boardwalk…but everytime we saw someone wearing pink i had to do ten squat jumps. its amazing how many people were wearing pink
2nd we had a little race in the sand…. potato sac jumps for 40meters then run back, then run 80 meters and back… we did two sets of those
3rd we ran about a mile on the boardwalk
4th we set up a bucket about 25 meters from the water and were given a small plastic cup, for ten minutes we ran back and forth filling the cup with wet sand and dumping it in the bucket.
5th after the buckets were filled we did forward lunges to the water and sides lunged back…this was done two times.
6th we layed are towels down in the sand and did 30 seconds planks with out feet on the bucket, and then did a set of fifty v-up style crunches for two sets.
i had alot of fun, and it was great to mix things up a bit

so today i competed in my first bench press competition. the weight class was 198.
so there are 3 attempts.
my 1st attempt i did 285, and did it no problem.
my 2nd attempt i did 315 but didnt count bc i didnt wait long enough to begin the press.
my 3rd attempt i decided to go 325, and go for the win, unfortunatly it didnt happen got abot 4 inches off my chest i was stuck..o well it was good experience and i had fun. i took 2nd so im happy.

my family has been staying over my house, and all they have been doing is eating new york food. ive been trying my best but yesterday i had white castle, pizza, and cannolis.
but today i went to a spinning class for an hour and wroked my butt off! then did a chest workout, hopefully i can do good these last few days they are here and stay on track!

2 warm up sets - flat bench 20x
bench 2×8 with 225
bench2×12 with 185
inlcine smith machine 4×15 with 135,145,145,175 dropset
inlcine DB bench 3×12 with 80lb db’s
pec deck 3×15
machine press pyramid drop set, start from rack work my way down
this morning at 8 am i did a one hour spinning class, and came out drenched, so that was good.
Today was an overall good day, stayed on track diet wise, unless i binge tonight lol… but let me know what u guys think, any comments are apreciated! thanks!
