I’m gonna miss my friend!!

So I finally set some rules and boundaries for myself.  First thing that I started was morning cardio because I got tired of getting home after 7 p.m. and still having to fix dinner.  Now I’m on the second rule:  No sweets during breakfast.  I had made a habit of eating a brownie with my shake in the morning.  I rationalized it by saying that I had all day to burn it off, whatever.  Now these were not ordinary brownies, they were under cooked and had a small layer of chocolate icing followed by another layer of vanilla icing.  God they are so good.  But they are gone and now when I feel better about the morning cardio because I know that all that effort will not be used up at breakfast.  The cool thing about all this is that I am really enjoying the new mind set and determination I am putting out.  Even Laura has said she is proud of the new attitude and she’s noticing some differences.

A much longer road than I thought

Laura and I just found this site this past week and I was thrilled.  Training, tracking, and motivation all in one place.  The world was good and nothing could be bad.  Brought out some old photo’s from a few months back, posted them as beginning progress, and took some new ones tonight, to update as current progress, and have never felt either more discouraged or motivated.  I have dropped weight but I’m still soft ALL OVER.  It’s good that I realized that so I can finally kick my ass to stop taking short cuts with food & training and push myself to get to my goals.  I just needed to see the truth about how much further I had.  Only good things can come from here.
