Ladies do you workout during that monthly visit? I am overwhelmed.

You know I normally have been able to workout during the monthly visit but lately I have to push to workout.  I have never had this problem in the past.  Today I just could not go. I missed my leg workout yesterday. I did not feel like squatting and  leg pressing doing this time. At least I did not get all bloated like in the past. I noticed that my joints are more sensitive during that time.  I just feel blah. I do not know if it has something to do with my age. I use to push through this when I was a little younger.  I could not go at all this week. I been running outside. Now when my monthly visit come the gym is a place I avoid. This is weird I was cranky like hell for 2 days straight.  I am working my abs like crazy could not do it this week.  What is wrong with me?  I wonder do the major fitness girls go through this.  I am blah mother nature is not being nice to me.  This monthly stuff is just taken it toll on me. Anybody dealing with this? I do not want this to affect my training.

That is so crazy you would write that blog I ahve been dealing with that all week, and I dont understand it. Like you usually I can workout as normal during that time but this time I have not had the energy to push my way through it. I would love to get some answers also :)

It may be because of the recent holiday, family, stress in the home, I get the feeling you might also be a career woman.

The women that have a career in fitness often work themselves to the point in which they do not get periods. That or they dose testosterone/anti-aromatase supplements and lose that monthly blessing.

I think that menstration worsens thoughts and emotions you have already had. If you find out why you might be unhappy, than you might have a chance at working past this at some point.

It may also be that you are stagnating with your workout and this simply put you in the mood to stop. Try and find something to liven up your workout, try not to do the same things, it is critical that you enjoy what you do.

Enjoy who you are, who you are around, and what you do in life. Good luck…

    Sincerely,

    ~ M

Yeah cause I have never had this problem before. This is new. I am trying to keep it up.

If it is completely new, now is the best time to find out what is going on. Think about what is different, you’ll get there.

I did not know that they lose their periods completely.

If they don’t lose it from overworking themselves or the supplements. They sometimes lose it by taking birth control for the entire month. This will almost completely wipe it out, doctors also do this, because having a period costs you time and money.

The mood swings are phenomenal, the crying is insane, it is really not a pretty thing to see. Very unnatural…

I am not that bad anymore. Now I know that diet can affect this stuff. I try to avoid all the process garbage. the hormones and crap work against the natural hormones in the body already. Yeap american women have more problems it this.
