Hippopotamus complex. Do you have one?

I know you are wondering what is a Hippopotamus complex?  Well hippo complex is defined: A corrupted way of reasoning that accepts being unhealthy and out of shape, and overweight is okay versus being physically conditioned. Now let me state this everybody is entitled to there own belief but American people have reasoned that overweight and flabby is normal but being in shape and fit is a rare.  Now I am aware no one has the perfect body but in my opinion to many people mainly women think it is okay to be out of shape.  I was with one of my friends and we were looking at some fitness ads and she begin to say that all the women look ugly because they had muscles. Now I was wondering did she think that being flabby and out of shape was normal.  I have heard a lot of women do this.  I have seen women look at serena williams and say she is not realistic.  Then I look at them  and they are a  mess. Basically this complex believes that being overweight out of shape is okay, it is the plight of womankind. I have a close associate of mine that is like that.  She will call a fit women manly but some sloppy out of shape woman normal. Well in my opinion that is a hippopotamus  complex.  This crap comes off these talk shows.  Also I think many women have stupid mindsets.  How can you say being fit is manly but being out of shape is realistic? Fellows I will say this and I tell my friends that are guys this never date woman with that complex you will be miserable. She will be a burden also she will more then likely be very insecure. Now men can have this complex. I have seen guys do the same thing. Unfortunately in my opinion women do it more. How can you tell if a person has a hippopotamus complex. They will say things like this:

I think women should be very soft.(Yeah will we do have a extra layer of fat not 3 and 4 another lame excuse)

That is not realistic. ( If I could get a $1 for each time I heard this I would be a millionare by now)

How can she look like that and have kids. ( When I have kids I will definately not live up to that standard. There are so many women that have kids that are more fit then me. I have seen pregnant women working out. Women have many examples today when it comes to being fit and pregnant and being a fit mom. I have friends who are moms and they are more fit then me. What cracks me up other women who are not always accuse them of having plastic surgery. My friends laugh at that. My friend who is a mom told me many of them ate for two now they have to pay the cost for the bad diet for 9 months. Now I think that needs to be discussed.)

She is to muscular. ( women who say this are usually very out shape and jealous honsetly I think that they want to look like them.  Also when I say women do this the women they state are too muscular are not at all.)

Marilyn Monroe was a size 14. (Has a student of fashion I study the history of clothes and size 14 back then is like a size 10 now and women back then did not look they way women do now. Remember there was no processed foods. Women who do this always try to find a person they can compare themselves to.)

Society is putting putting pressure on me to be a size 2. ( I am tired of hearing this one. I mean it is a regular talk show quote. Women have been going through being objects of nothing for centuries the only thing now we have just gotten bigger and lazier so that is the excuse for now.)

These ladies on the magazines are airbrushed. ( Yeah that might be true but I will state this the magazines companies are not going to take a size 14 and make it look like a size 4. The model had to have something to start with. Also do not buy the magazine anymore. Goodness.)

Barbie is not a good image for women and girls she is not realistic. ( Well I played with barbie and I did not think I had to look like her. I wish women stop hating on Barbie is she is a molded plastic object. This is childish Goodness. If your hatin is that severe you need to get counseling. My little cousin plays with them they are fun. I mean Barbie has been on talk shows that is stupid.  Besides why blame Barbie it is not her fault you will not get up and be active. Leave her alone why is she the center off your problems.)

BARBIELEAVE ME ALONE I AM NOT YOUR PROBLEM I AM A TOY.  YOU ARE A GROWN WOMAN GET YOURSELF TOGETHER. STOP HATIN ON ME. I HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR YEARS AND I HAVE NOT SUFFERED LIKE THIS UNTIL FAST FOOD BECAME POPULAR. JUST GO TO THE GYM AND CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE.

 

Men need to accept us the way we are. ( If I was a men I would stay away from women like this. Now we all have flaws whether it is physical or in other area, but at the same time there is always room for improvement.  If my reading was lacking I would go improve or if I had a issue with a subject in school I would go seek help. That does not mean I do not like my self. Actually it demostrates I am wise person why not improve. That is what my grandmother taught me.  Some women are convinced that a men is not suppose to expect them to take care of themselves physically. What amazes me these women always want men that are fit and cut. He has to stay fit but you can turn into a hot air balloon and that is okay. I had a male friend that told me that out of shape women keep trying to push themselves on him.  He did not understand that. He is very fit and he wants a woman like that. He is wrong for that?  Now I have discussed in a previous blog post that women will get all dazzled up but will not maintain wellness.  So we are concerned about our appearance some of us are just lazy.  Ladies we have to stop being silly. If I was a man I would run from women like this they are nuts. The will spend energy trying to convince you that you should accept them being unheathly. They can take that energy and go to the gym.

It is sad we are in 2009 and women still think like this. Yes society has picked on women but that is not an excuse for laziness and unheathly lifestyle choices. This hippo complex is sickening. This complex has made women lazy and lack motivation.  This complex is very debilitating you talk yourself out of accepting the fact you are in need of fitness. Also all the energy and time spent with this reasoning one could have went walking 30 minutes. I am not trying to be mean but I am telling the truth.  I am a woman myself and I am tired of hearing some friends complain about their weight and hate on other women. Go and do something about it. Ladies some of these talk shows are crazy the promote this complex. Ladies print this and let you friends see it. It is time out for this foolishness to stop. We go from being wild cats one minute to being helpless little kittens. That does not make any sense. This is not 1810 get some knowledge. We need to set examples for the younger girls. We cannot do anything if we keep up these foolish mindsets. What do you all think?

I have been on the men now I am on the women.  I have seen this crap in the gym women using 2lb dumbells for every workout.  Now I am aware that people have to start some where but you do not stay there.  I see women in the gym with this silly magazines doing a workout that is not doing nothing for them.  Someone needs to come in and take that baby dumbell  set out and put it in the nursery.  Ladies these pitty pat workouts will get you no where. I was watching this lady now she had a 2lb dumbells and she was doing tricep kickbacks. You can see she had no resistance. Now later on she was talking about her arms I was like she need to pick up  more weight.  What is with this 2lb dumbell workout for every body part? I see it used for  chest press, bicep curl, delt workouts. I have even seen them do deadlift and squats with them. This is foolishness and it looks crazy.  This 2lb scuplting program is doing absolutely nothing for women. This silly, workout I guess is a result of fear of being to muscular. Well ladies right about now if your arms are jello and when you wave your whole arm waves. You think 2lb workout is going to help you need to get a revelation.  Ladies if your fitness goal is tohave toned arms you will not with 2lb dumbells.  Ladies these little stupid weakling workouts are stupid.  Women are always complaining about flab but some of us do not want to change the 2lb dumbells.  Who started this mess? I mean it  looks stupid. To see a women doing squats with 2lb dumbells then turn around and complain she is not getting results is nuts.  I told a friend she needs to up the weight she got all emotional about it. I was like what is all that for. Then she was like I do not want to be manly. I told her that some stupid crap. I also stated did she think that being flabby is cute or womanly. Ladies my three year old cousin can lift a 3lb weight. What are you accomplishing?  This  crap is some I am to weak because I am a woman. Poor ladies cannot do anything. We are so hopeless and losing weight is so hard let alone lifting weights. (Sound like something you would hear on a talk show.)  I hope these workout gets talked about more.  I saw one chick doing bicep curls with she was going so fast because the weight was  toooooooooooooooooo light. She could have thrown this weight across the gym.  What cracks me up is when they finish these pitiful workouts they think they did something.  Now we all have different levels of intensity but 2lb weights are for kids or some light stuff.  Also, they have a nerve to hate on us ladies that really lift and get results.  Then they start that talk show talk again. Some people have genetic reasons they can lift weights ( sound like talk show excuse crap) It amazes me with lazy women that everybody that is active it is because it is genetic. LOL 2lb weights have their place in a workout but it is not the whole workout. This 2lb workout is like the total gym for women.  I mean some of these women are very flabby and need to increase the weight. Girlfriends increase the weight!!! I was told that when I first started. This needs to be exposed.  All these silly magazines with these stupid workouts. Look in some of this pitty pat magazines for women the workouts are with those 2lb weights. Let’s be realistic 2lb weights will not totally sculpt you body. Ladies stop this foolishness. Mere stupidity.  Also you are going in an endless cycle of no results. Stop blaming the TV and all the other talk show excuse we use.  Please do not make this an emotional issue. LOL Pick up the weight. Who started this because it is stupid. How are you going to sculpt you need to build muscle first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got on the guys enough well time to get on the ladies.  Well have anyone ever notice there is always this chick walking around trying to get attention.  She is really not working out. Well my gym has a couple of them.  Also they do not like it when some other chick comes in that is either more attractive then them or is getting all the men attention.  Well there is a couple at my  gym and let me state this I am not hatin on no one I am just telling the truth.  This chick walks around not really doing much and she is always in all the guys face.  One time I walked in the cage and the guys was saying hi to me she gave me this evil stare. I was like whatever. That crap is petty this is not Sweet Valley High.  Now one time another girl came in that was more fit and prettier she was livid.  She keep walking around her and looking at her. I was like this is not happening.  Gym supermodels are always walking around like they are in a Parisan fashion show.  They like all the attention from every man in the gym. Do women still think there can be only one pretty woman in the gym?  The guys in the  cage was looking at the other girl.  The gym supermodel got up and went in the cage and started hugging the guys. Now I would use another term to describe her but I am going to keep it mature.  I have seen this crap in other gyms and in most cases these chicks are not that fit also they have not had anyone come in that was more attractive then them so when it happens it is devastating.  We have 3 of them and everybody knows they are trying to be seen.  What I do not understand is why women think they are the only attractive people in the gym.  I do not go to the gym looking for attention from guys to each its own.  But I think it is stupid to go to the gym and give other women evil eyes if the male attention is been distracted from them.  I seen another one come in  and perform. I mean so walked to the top of the stairs and scan the gym. I was like this is nuts. Then she walked down the stairs like she was in Karl Lagerfield’s Chanel spring collection.  I was stretching and then she saw another girl who in my opinion was prettier she gave her a  ugly look.  Some dude next to me saw this crap he was cracking up.  Well she made her way by us and we noticed she keep pulling her pants up to the point she was wedged out. ( You know what I am talking about.) Another older lady was looking like what in the is she doing.  Well there was a clash another gym supermodel was there and there was a silent war.  They did enough walking around the gym they could have did all the spring shows in Paris.   I have got on the men enough now it is time for the women to be exposed.  Most of these chicks I see are not even working out.  They do a little something. But if some one comes in that is prettier or is more fit it cause a uproar within them. This crap happens everyday. One of the trainers told me they get on his nerves.  They always are  doing that crap and walking up on him.  Ladies there are many pretty women out there.  If you go to the gym thinking you are the only chick there that is attractive you are in for a heartbreak.  In some cases these chicks look old and tired.  The gym is turning into a stroll if you know what I mean.  Ladies there is nothing wrong with knowing that you are good looking but also there are other good looking women out there.  We need to stop being petty and childish.  This gym supermodel crap is crazy.  This crap also goes on in the work place. LOL Ladies we can appreciate each others beauty not claw at each other like wild cats.

I know that this post might sound a little harsh but I am calling it like see it.  I have experienced people who work out together all the time at the same gym act like the gym is their personal turf.  I was in the gym and I guess these guys wanted to use the machine that I was on. Well they keep walking around me to get my attention. Well I was not moved. (Now I grew up seeing real gang activity on the street so some gym gangs are not going to move me. LOL) These gangs in the gym feel because they have a set routine no one should use the equipment they need. They have the nerve to ask you constantly have many sets you have left. They try to be forceful in a funny way.  Also they are to the point were they dress alike. ONe of them buys Under Armour all of them do. Also if you are new to they inspect you like you are a threat.  I witnessed a guy that was new to the gym get some intense looks from one of the gym gangs.  The key point is he was in better shape then the gangs in the gym.  When you do not talk to them they get immature.  Just like street gangs.  They think everybody should bow down to them. Also the gym gangs get on my nerves they are always loud drawing attention to themselves. This is always in the free weight area.  When they are working out in there they are loud and slamming weights.  They are always in the same spot in the gym. There are girl gym gangs also they just tend to be more catty.  I had to experience that when I started going where I go. They saw me walk in and the whole group gave me a look like who she think she is.  Gym gangs are out of control actually they do more talking then working out. Maybe it is some type of secret soceity or something. Well I am not going to be moved be some wanksters in the gym.  I think some of them compensate for not be tough outside of the gym.  So they come in the gym and start gangbanging.  I hope some one else know what I am talking about. Treadmillers,(they stay on the treadmill forever not doing much walking and talking. This gang consist of women usually.) Free weight gang, grown and sexy ( they do nothing but stand around and pose)  Water fountain junkies, there are many gym gangs.

I have noticed dudes  in the gym wearing sunglasses.  I mean I have nothing against people style choices. I had this dude in sunglasses just looking at me or least I thought.  I mean when I would finish a set his head would be facing me. Now I think this is to look and look hard without anyone noticing.  That is what I think the sunglasses wearing in the gym is for.  I think is is kind of weird.  I have to ask the guys what is this about?  I have to get some feed back on this.

Well  I am back and guess what I have  come to a conclusion that women bodies are compared to fruits and letters. Pear apple v shape.  So I decided to do a  body type for men.  I mean it is a double standard with this stuff. I saw some horrible male bodies  Ladies stop feeling insecure men have body shapes also. I mean all this pear  and apple shape crap they put on us well I got something for them. Well let me start.

Pear shape for women =  bear shape for men (bears tend to be bottom heavy look at a profile of a bear standing up. Just like a pear shaped woman bottom heavy)

Apple shape for women =  gorilla shape for men ( gorilla tend to be big and round all over different species have different builds. I am referring to the rounder gorillia)

globet shape for women = flamingo shape for men ( this shape is big up top and all that and bag of chips but the legs is missing.Yep everything up top. Just like globet shape for women.

bell shape for women = snowman shape for men (this shape has a gradual increase of roundness not drastic change like a pear of bear shape.)

brick shape for women= haystack shape for men ( yep your are soild but no waist line just straight and thick.) Yep good linebackers.

hourglass for women = gladiator shape for men (you are the classic shape. just like the hourgalss for women. Gladiator shape chest and legs tend to have closer symmetry.

lollipop shape for women = palm tree shape for men (just like the lollipop for women small but near the neckline mass comes in. Same thing for the palm tree shape for men. Slender build but thickness appears near neckline just a little.

Now I hope that guys  can see that women are not the only ones with body shapes. Ladies next time a guy tells you about you body shape you have an equivlent for him. This is only fair fellows. Now you can be a combination of 2 or maybe 3. I am an hourglass but I have some pear shape tendencies.

I was in the  gym and I am noticing that men can be made up bad. (Not have good  symmetry) It seems to me in society that women get inspected when it comes to have a nice  figure. I mean I hear guys talk about how are women built all the day.  I see this dude that comes in the gym and all he works is his arms. I looked at him.  His chest was small and his legs was small.  I am aware that people smaller legs naturally. He looked a mess. I men this dude could have used his arms for legs. LOL Now this dude was inpecting other women. He is always talking about the females.  I was like does anybody see this.  I mean dude was made up bad. What is up with having big arms and no chest or legs?  I think that mens body types should be talked about.  I was hanging out with  this guy that was a former marine.  He worked out.  Now when we met he was inspecting I was like what the hell.  So one day we went to the gym together.  He had on a under armour shirt all I saw was arms.  I asked him did he work his chest and legs.  He said occassionally.  I was like what type of crap is that.  Now he was inspecting me and not just for fitness. I am not perfect but I was taught by me cousins that each body part should be worked equally. And the hardest ones worked more. He had no chest and his legs had little tone. I was like do men think they are exempt from symmetry? He later admitted that he does not work his chest and legs enough.  I thought to myself this man was inspecting me down to my feet. Yea he asked to see my feet. (They are pretty.) I asked to see his he was shocked. His feet were a mess. They looked like dragon feet.  What is the deal with this fellows?  I have been observing  this in the gym. I hear guys talking about females then I looked at them. I mean made up bad.  One dude had big chest and little arms. This dude chest was so big he could go to war without a breastplate. His arms look like little bones dangling against his body.  I am not going to get on butts cause men can have phat butts to.  I had this dude his butt was bigger then mine.  And it was not muscle. From the back he looked like a female that need to work her glute muscles.  I have even seen dudes with cellulite or that is what it appeared to be.  What I do not understand is how they talk about women.  I am exposing this double standard.  We always talk about the pear apple, v shape stuff with women.  What is the counterpart for men.  I am going to come with some. This needs to be talked about.  The guys with huge shoulders and not chest or arms but they have big legs. Yea I am talking about it.  When I confornted that marine about his wack build he got all soft. Now he just inspected me but that was okay. No not with this woman I am firing back. I am not going to even start on the male trimesters I am going to leave that alone.  Men can be out of  proportion also and in the gym especially.  Ladies do not feel all bad cause you got some weak spots on the bod.  Men do to they just never get it exposed publicly like we do. Any feedback.  Why dudes want a woman to  look good but it is okay if they look a mess  what is up with that.

What precentage does breast count for in body fat?

I am trying to get an understanding of what precentage does breast count for in body fat?  I am a DD cup and let me say this large breast is genetic for me.  I know that breast is mostly fat.  Also I get smaller my breast get bigger.  I am not trying to be in a contest but I want my body fat precentage to be 19%. Now is that realistic for me being a DD cup.  I see most of the girls that compete have implants.  What is the deal?

What to do about the bloating issue? Being bloated gets on my nerves.

I will have to admit that bloated crap gets on my nerves.  Before my time month or if I drink water.  I am like a human sponge.  That is why it is hard for me to take progress pics. I have to wait until I am not bloated.  This is mostly a woman’s issue.  I wonder how the female bodybuilders and fitness women get  around this and compete.  I need to get what they are taking.  I can look like 3 months pregnant one day and the next I am fine.  What the hell.  I drink lots of water and try to lower my sodium intake.  This bloated stuff is crap.  I have to drink almost a gallon of water a day because I run.  Any suggestions.  My aunts think it is funny that I am making an issue out of it. I do not.  I mean I thought this was a genetic issue.  Do not throw me in the river I will absorb all the water and everybody will die from dehydration. LOL

I am in the process of building my legs.  I have been a runner since I was 18 but not a weight lifter.  Did not start weights until I was about 20 seriously I did not do much.  I was just happy I go the fat off.  Well I am changing my whole workout mentality.  I am now working more on developing and using my fast twitch muscles more in my legs.  I do HIT cardio also.  I have incorporated sprinting in my cardio routine.  Well I have noticed that being tall makes it harder.  Well I have been doing to butt kicking leg workouts.   I have done some research about the hams.  I just want to know how long can it take?  I train  my legs once a week and I put more time into the hams.  Has a runner the quads get a lot of training.  I want the hams.  I do realize I have a average muscle mass.  I did some bulking last year.  I must be honest I have never had the developed legs were it is noticeable.  Any advice remember I am almost 6′0 tall.
