Achieving your goals
The difference between a dream and a goal is ACTION.
It’s funny (and sad) how many people discourage others from their truest desires by trying to be ‘realistic’ and protecting people from failure. The greatest learning comes through failure. Like Kennedy said, only those who dare to fail greatly will ever achieve greatly.
For me, I’m doing a Thoreau and going confidently in the direction of my dreams and living the life I’ve imagined. To manifest my goals/dreams, I’ve been accomplishing a lot of tangible things to display my determination. It’s true that willpower begets willpower.
1. I’m now a vegetarian.
2. I’ve lost 25 lbs.
3. I’ve been working out 6x a week.
4. I’ve been eating a BFL diet.
5. I’ve learned to FLY by staying committed to cleaning routines.
So when my mother says it’s unrealistic of me to do what I really want to do for a living, it really disheartens me and makes me mope… until I remember the things above. It’s my wish for whoever reads this to believe that you can achieve anything you set your mind to- and go out and do it. Let’s prove all our moms wrong.

That sounds like a good motto - "Let’s prove all our moms wrong"
