2 Blatant Signs to You Need to Regroup

In the every day hustle and bustle of today’s society its easy to lose track of yourself.  If you’re not careful you’ll find yourself trapped in a never ending loop with no way out.  Here are 2 signs that its time to regroup and collect yourself.

Lack of Energy

Some of us are morning people and some of us are "night owls".  No matter the category you’re bound to experience a lack of energy.  Maybe you haven’t been snapping to life with zest when you wake if you’re a morning person.  Maybe you’ve found yourself dozing off at 9 pm if you’re a night owl.

In the go, go, go society of today its imperative that you pay attention to the signs.  If you don’t you’ll begin to suffer from EXTREME burnout.  Once burnout sets in your quality of life dips dramatically.  Work and personal affairs both begin to suffer because you’re unable to give the energy that you normally give.

Sometimes you’re out fuel.  Learn to accept it when it does creep up on you.

Lack of Focus

Have you ever had trouble focusing?

Do you struggle with figuring out what to do next?

Why is that bug crawling on the wall?

What am I going to wear tomorrow?

What is the point I’m trying to make here?

Are you tired of reading these questions?

Is that a washing machine I hear in the background?

Lack of focus is a definite sign that its time to gather yourself and regroup.    If you’re not focused your effectiveness will will quickly dip to levels far below what you expect from yourself.

I used to work myself through my lack of focus.  I thought that by relentlessly pounding away I’d eventually regain my focus.  For a short period of time it worked.  Whenever I hit a rut I’d work myself out of it.  A nasty trend began to develop.  The ruts began to get longer and longer.  I found myself forcing myself through down periods of 1,2, and even 3 weeks trying to regain that focus.

Eventually I realized I was both wasting my time and producing subpar efforts.  Neither of which I like to do.

Conclusion
From time to time we must learn to step back and analyze our current situation.  In this article I’ve identified 2 very blatant signs that let us know when that time has come.  When you find those energy levels dipping take it as a sign.  When you find that even the most simple tasks can’t get done pay attention.

There is one simple solution…rest and relaxation.  I know its hard in a time where the day seems to get shorter and shorter.  Trust me on this one, it’s well worth the investment.  Do yourself a favor and unplug when the energy gets low or you’re unable to focus.  You’ll thank me later :)
