Hi All,
recently my girlfriend has had a shift change. Meaning i get restricted time in the gym. Im talking 30-40mins max.
I do prefer to train in the morning if possible. I could go at night, this would only make it a longer day. Even then the gym is much busier at night and i personally dont like training alongside swell heads.
Instead of cutting workouts short, i’ve had to develop an extreme hypertrophy training program. On some workouts my rest periods are as low as 30 secs. By the end of the workout im sweating buckets and really feel like ive sent the signal for growth.
Overall im kind of glad i have a time restriction. This means training has to be done at high density with maximum intensity.
cheers iain

Hi All,
to update on training related bits i feel a change of gym is required. I prefer to change gyms every 6 months - 12 months in order to maintain freshness and to improve via different machinery.
Another reason is you can become to friendly with other members, and when it comes to training in the gym this can often reduce the intensity/density of a workout.
So, the time has come. To choose another gym. Ultimately i know when i change i will need to train either very early in the morning (which was when i achieved my best ever condition) or train after work at night times when the gyms are busier and generally full oif "big" guys who havent eaten that day.
I think il choose to train ultra early in order to get more from training. Now…..what gym will i goto!
cheers, Iain

Hi All,
please read and let me know your thoughts on this blog article…..
Now to briefly explain a few need to know things before reading on. I’m manager of a busy and popular supplement store in Australia. I compete as a natural bodybuilder. Im very strict on my diet. Off season i wont go over 3-4kg from contest condition.
Now…..recently there has been a fascination with a product called "Testoroid". All the wannabe bodybuilder who dont eat right, supplement right or follow any dedicated program are gagging to get there hands onn this product.
its got to the point i have to explain as best i can that just because the product starts with "testo" and ends in "roid" it doesnt mean its a testosterone steroid. It wont turn you into Jay Cutler.
Another annoyance….. fat out of shape guys who openly admit to having bad diets that ask for pro hormones. This is not the answer to your fat lazy self.
start eating properly, do some googling on correct diets, implement a sound nutritional diet THEN go for the higher level supplementation.
Whatever happenned to a base protein, a pre and post workout drink and a sound basic diet? from my experience all the good BB’er’s follow the basics. What does it take for the guys to realise this?

after my 1st 2 comps this year, ive learned a lot about myself. more so on what i have to improve on. you hear a lot from other people. but it wasnt until i watched the video of the bnbf scottish i realised what i REALLY have to work on more!
to put it simple, i need more sweep to the quads, neater calves, smaller waist, more width to upper back. if i can have even a % improvement for sept 30th 07 (the finals) i will be happy. my quest is to finish top 3 in the final.
thanks iain
