My Original Start

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

iabb999

My first blog stated that this is the beginning.

I’ve had lots of beginnings.

3 years ago I weighed close to 300 lbs. And started a slow prossess of trying to loose weight.  I wasn’t as dedicated as I am now but I knew I had to do something.

I tried lots of diets and would reach a plateau.  But instead of putting weight back on I would convince myself that this is the beginning.  This is my weight lets start another diet.

When I reached another plateau I would do the same thing.  And then start another diet.

I would always block out the weight from where I started and would begin as if this was my normal weight.  I don’t know why this worked for me but for some reason if I denied the fact that I was nearly 300 lbs I didn’t feel as if I had that far to go.  300 lbs is a long way from 186.  I never took pictures because I didn’t want to see what I looked like.

As I’ve already stated in my first blog I started having a lot of health problems.

By then I was around 230 lbs and again I started fresh.  1 because the Dr said I had too and 2 I knew I could look better and feel better.

As I stated before I started the Abs diet by David Zinczenko and that has gotten me where I am today.

I know I have to loose a lot more, but I’d really like to put on more muscle.

Please Mr.  Reese if you’re reading this help me.

Despite my Benges

Despit my benges I’m down another % in BF.
I’m trying to figure out how to change the amount or how to set goals in my BB page.
I’m still doing cardio 30 mins a day.  And working light weight high reps 15-20 hoping that I can continue the fat loss while mainting what little muscularity I have.
and, Ron If you can read this I have underestimated your prowess as a computer nerd.

Back on my diet.  Oatmeal for breakfast with protien shake. PB sandwich (1tlb PB on multigrain bread) for midmorning snak.  Peach 30 mins before workout @ noon.  after workout chicken breast with veggies or protien shake. Mid afternoon cottage cheese or protien shake.  Dinner salad spinach or green veggie chicken grilled.  1/2hour latter I might have a sugar free Jello ( is this cheating? would like to know.)

My waist is getting smaller

Crunches in the morning,  Workout @ noon,  Power walk when I get home.

This is pretty much it.  I have a boring life.

Maurice please advise.

Labor day

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

iabb999

I had a bad labor weekend.

I probably ate every bad carb I could think of and then made up some more and wolf them down.

I seems like sometime I get in a funk and just want to eat.

Bumped my head on monday morning around 3 am when I got up to go take a leak.  On the way back to bead miscalculated where the end of the hall was and whack.   I guess it was carb overload becaus I couldn’t get up that morning without every thing going black.

So I stayed in bed.  So much for burning up calories.

But I’m back in the swing hopefully and will stay there.  (yeah right)

Need some serious will power.

It’s Still the Begining

Where to begin

I have belonged to gyms on and off for 20 years.   More off than on.

In Oct or 2006 My weight was around 230lbs and mostly fat.  I found a Dr that I could trust and started the prosess of diagnosing health problems.

I knew I was over weight and of course the Dr agreed.  My blood pressure was up and so was my cholestrol.   I was also diagnosed with hypogonadism.  Low test level and beginings of bone degeneration.

Dr said weight resistant exorsize was the best way to handle pretty much all by helth prblems.  Plus deit and cardio.

I started walking and watching what I ate but wasn’t loosing the fat.

By January of 07 not much change in size still waist of 40 and still around 225 lbs.

Then I found a book call "The Abs Diet"  and started following the diet and increased my exorcise and added weight training.

I read books and found a regimen that was suited to my work schedule.

My two brothers are runners and they had lost a lot of weight and so I thought I’d add running.  (trainer wants me to go back to fast walking)

The lbs started dropping and I started getting excited about lifting and getting my body in the best shape I’d ever been.

I had gone from 230 lbs to 184 in less than a year actually just over 6 months.  I felt better than I ever had.

Now I’m back up to 190 192 and I was hoping it was muscle weight and not fat. Now I find out I should be around 145 lbs so I have a ways to go

So Now this is my start.
