Am I rude?
Chest and arms today. For CHEST: Flat, decline and incline bench presses. Then flys. Bis and Tris exercises were supersetted. Arms were so pumped at the end of workout - I had hard time straightening them:) What I great feeling! Please, don’t leave me…pump! ::::::
Food-wise: did well. Took enough protein, carbs and fats to sustain my rigorous training and to promote the muscle growth.:::::
Today someone at the gym considered me rude. I am NOT a rude person. Some called me heard-headed before, but not rude. For me gym is not the place to participate in prolonged conversations, hanging out, and exchanging phone calls. When at the gym I don’t believe in wasting time. That’s why I try not to return eye contact I sometimes feel I am getting. I just walk around with the earphones in my ears quietly singing along….at times I might sing a line or two out loud. ::::
Gotta get me a T-shirt saying something like "I am focused. Don’t break my concentration!"

That’s exactly what I’ve been saying at my gym!! I try to tell people that I’m not here to waste my time. I have an hour and a half everyday…I need to make it count! I do try to make time after my session to schmooze, cause I know the ladies just want to pick my brain for training ideas. YOU ARE NOT RUDE! You are determined; you are focused; YOU ROCK! Keep it up!

I have to agree with urbanmommy. Workout comes first and then chatting. Your there for a purpose. I have two t-shirt slogans that I use…this is a gym not a bar and Yes! I am workout. Now shut up and spot me or go away.

I get the same crap that you get about being rude…but, I have to focus and if I have to be a little rude while in the gym so that I can get my point across- sorry!
But if we meet outside of the gym or after my workout…you’ll find that I’m the sweetest person.

Gotta love the pump!
Regarding the chit-chat in the gym, I usually tell people that I’d like to talk to them, but only when I’m done with my training. My training sessions aren’t that long - 45 minutes MAX! I train with intensity, and love it when I can feel the sweat run down my forehead and down my chest. I hate getting cold - especially if it’s someone else’s fault.
Considering you are the one wearing earplugs trying hard to focus on your training, THEY are the rude ones for interupting!

Girl,
I put my game face on. I focus internally and am in zone before I walk in. When I walk in, I will say my salutations, but everyone knows that I won’t talk when I’m working out.
Some newbies try, but they learn eventually, to just leave me alone.
More power to ya.
