I love it when you get on my ass!
Thursday, August 13th, 2009There are times when I get weak in my diet discipline. I’ve been on the same diet, with periodic changes, since April. It gets boring to eat the same thing everyday. I try to think of different ways to make the same meals. There’s only so many ways to cook chicken without added ingredients - ya know what I’m sayin?
So when I slip, I get this really bad guilt feeling. You know - the one you get when you are away from the gym too long? Except about 3 to 10 times worse depending on how bad I slipped. Lately I’ve had some problems with grabbing snacks that I shouldn’t have, and on top of that - late at night carbs!
But how do I snap out of it?! And how do I get up and out of my funk after those terrible binges? It’s the AMAZING ABUNDANCE OF SUPPORT I GET FROM YOU! My Bodyspacers - I can’t get through this without you and my gym friends who understand what I’m trying to achieve. This morning, I got some beautiful encouragement from a fellow bodyspacer, and tonight at the gym I had to look at a friend in the eye and tell him I was NOT GOING TO CHEAT ANYMORE! What accountabillity I have!
Here’s some support for you - my very first trainer is flying in from Chicago to come see me on stage! Here’s support for you - a gym friend showing me how to spread my lats in front of the mirror tonight and how to pull down on that bar….or the support of hubby (Bodyspace member Purecaine) organizing the night after work everyday over the phone to make sure I get the gymtime I need….or his wakeup calls every morning to make sure I don’t oversleep - God knows I need my sleep right now!
