I love it when you get on my ass!

There are times when I get weak in my diet discipline. I’ve been on the same diet, with periodic changes, since April. It gets boring to eat the same thing everyday. I try to think of different ways to make the same meals. There’s only so many ways to cook chicken without added ingredients - ya know what I’m sayin?

So when I slip, I get this really bad guilt feeling. You know - the one you get when you are away from the gym too long? Except about 3 to 10 times worse depending on how bad I slipped. Lately I’ve had some problems with grabbing snacks that I shouldn’t have, and on top of that - late at night carbs!

But how do I snap out of it?! And how do I get up and out of my funk after those terrible binges? It’s the AMAZING ABUNDANCE OF SUPPORT I GET FROM YOU! My Bodyspacers - I can’t get through this without you and my gym friends who understand what I’m trying to achieve. This morning, I got some beautiful encouragement from a fellow bodyspacer, and tonight at the gym I had to look at a friend in the eye and tell him I was NOT GOING TO CHEAT ANYMORE! What accountabillity I have!

Here’s some support for you - my very first trainer is flying in from Chicago to come see me on stage! Here’s support for you - a gym friend showing me how to spread my lats in front of the mirror tonight and how to pull down on that bar….or the support of hubby (Bodyspace member Purecaine) organizing the night after work everyday over the phone to make sure I get the gymtime I need….or his wakeup calls every morning to make sure I don’t oversleep - God knows I need my sleep right now!

Giving Back

Tonight I visited some friends who are significantly overweight to write them a meal plan. What was planned for an hour turned into 2 1/2 hours, but in the end I feel good about helping two young people who were willing to listen to some friendly advice. These two know what it takes to eat right but they just needed a little pat on the back to get started. I hope that they will get through their first week with some loss on the scale and measure their success! The first progress step is always so motivating! Yea, it was worth getting home late and eating a lil extra eggs before bedtime. I’m now getting opportunities to spread the luv that I’ve been given along my journey.

 

 

The Shoes and The Suit

The shoes arrived last week and I’m excited to say I’ve started the process on the suit! Of course, too soon for measurements but about 10 more pounds of fat may give me just the right time. Hmm, that’s about 5 weeks away :) Aiming for 2 pounds a week. Seems like I carry most of it on my back and arms…oh and the booty ;)

 

bikini time

yep yep i got to wear a bikini the past two weekends….first time ever in life! i know my body is not the tightest yet…but i feel comfy enough to wear out now :) hey, gotta get used to it right?! 10 more weeks!! got my shoes yesterday. was walking around in them to get used to them. here’s the wetshot ;P Oh! and busted a pose with the shoes ;)
