Patting myself on the back…

It’s been quite some time since I’ve been able to stay focused and keep my diet and exercise in check. My prime was in April 07 when I got down to 162. Although I cannot condition myself to that very point again due to injury, I am starting to believe my trainer that I will now end up in an even better condition because of my new focus to overall body strength. I want that core training. Right now, I REALLY need to stick with the fat loss first. It took a long time to get myself back into the mental stage of eating right and being able to say no to junk. And getting to the gym everyday such a routine i can do it in my sleep. I love the gym because I know I will walk out feeling accomplished.

 Right now at 172 I am starting to see things melt again, and I remember the feelings I had when that happened to me consistently in ‘06. I plan to make a big breakthrough the rest of ‘08 by losing 30-35 more pounds….bringing me to 137-142 range at 5′2". At that point, my focus will be on shaping the muscle in my body and with that the rest of my excess fat shall disappear.

 I still hope to compete in ‘09, but I cannot affford the tummy tuck. That will be the setback. …cuz I GOT this natural reform!!

Week 5…but no gain/no loss

Past 2 weeks I have not lost. But I have not been super faithful on the diet. However, my body IS changing. I am fitting in clothes differently. I am going to turn it up a notch starting today because I want to lose at least 10 lbs by Halloween. That means I have 3 weeks. I need to get my workout/sleep/schoolwork schedule in order now.

 A BS member friend and I are going to start a challenge November 1st. I think we called it the Look Good Naked Challenge. We are to have final posting February 1st (of course with treasure parts covered) but we almost bare all to show the world that we did it in 4 months. Scary ha? This will be HIGHLY motivating and it is JUST what I need to get in gear. I said this is MY year damnit! lol

2 weeks in and still pushing!

Well, since I committed on 9/12 to 1 hour of cardio everyday, I have been able to stick to it. I am supposed to be doing it in the morning but I’m still struggling as I have a lot of committments. It’s a work in progress there. Diet has been great - low carb, frequent meals, lots of water. Did some weight training over the weekend and BOY have I lost some strength! I was walking so funny the past couple days but I think I loosened up a lot of the lactic acid yesterday with more running. I’ve lost 4 pounds and hope to lose another 11 by Halloween. Then I gotta lose 15-20 by Jan 1st. I’m also in a challenge with a BS friend to "look good naked" by Feb 1st. We’ve named the bet "The Naked Challenge"….just a motivating committment with some added faithful support. There’s no way I can back down now, or fail! 2008 is MY year, remember?!
