I dont even know anymore. So maybe I didn’t stick to the menu..but I definietly sticked to the diet. It has been practically a month and I feel great! I am down 9 lbs so far with no additional loss this week but I’m not trippin. As long as I continue, my body will adjust. With chiropractor, trainer, stretching, training, and cardio…I’m well on my way. Could a gain of muscle Clothes are fitting better now…no more bloating which is great. AND NO MORE CRAVINGS!!! i love that power. This weekend going out..I hope to be able to avoid the alcohol for calorie reasons. Maybe I’ll buy a cute outfit to reward myself

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been only 16 days. I feel like it’s been forever! The thought of this going on for another 10 weeks is scary! But I know, think one week at a time…or even one day, or HOUR at a time!!
So this diet is working, although I give myself more credit as I’ve had to be innovative at finding supplement meals at times when groceries were low, or I was out without packed food. The main thing I watched was carbs and calories. I really am trying to stick to about 1200 a day….but there are days when I’ve had 1800 and I’m ok with that too because I work very hard in the gym 6 days a week.
WOW 8 POUNDS DOWN!!! IN JUST 2 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS???? I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT 12 WEEKS WILL BRING

This morning, I dressed in front of the mirror. I notice that I have much more shoulder definition. It has returned! Although weight is only at 1 lb lost, I think I am retaining water and will have to drink more. I liked the fact that the shoulder definition is coming back. I can’t wait to look like I did a year ago, and then surpass that point. I did arm/chest/abs yesterday. My shoulder/arm hurting a little bit - not sure if the chest or arm work that did it. I need some more stretches. I see my chiro again today. Trainer postponed until tomorrow.

I find that keeping busy in the evenings can really take me away from the kitchen. Just like a year ago, I tend to get these late night cravings of cereal. It’s not bad cereal - raisin bran or cheerios - but it’s carbs late at night. I think it’s because I’m way past bedtime and my body is saying either go to sleep or give me more food to stay awake. Schoolwork is so demanding so I have often given in to the cereal craving (water just doesn’t cut it). Last night I didn’t give in to it, and I was content that that was 300 calories less for the day .
I went to the chiro last night. Boy, did I snap, crackle, and pop! It was long overdue. I hope with all this physical therapy I am going to be lifting hardcore by the end of the year. Right now, I couldn’t even lift the weight I used to even if I tried! But I’m incredibly happy to just be able to do things with any part of my body even though they are modified. I found a new cardio machine fun - one of those bikes with a computer screen on it showing you a scenic route…its helps time pass but boy what a workout!

Back on the bandwagon!
I started up the regular diet again. Same menu this week. Today is same as Day 1. Won’t be so hard to fight temptation this time around. Going to the chiropractor this afternoon, followed by a hard day of LEGS! I can’t wait to see my trainer this Wednesday. My weight today was 2 pounds up. Not sure what this means but I’m not trippin at this point.

Sunday….
Okay so I didn’t follow the diet exactly over the weekend but I totally understood the point and watched my selections, portions, and calories.
Cheerios,eggs
Shoulders/Back workout, 20 minute cardio
Bacon, chips/salsa
100 cal popcorn
BAD - ice cream bar
raisin bran….at night this is not good.
This was an off diet weekend HOWEVER, i was very conscious and did not go bolistic on the food like i’ve done in the past. I give myself a pat on the back.
I’m seeing body changes already and I don’t want to stop the streak!

Saturday - oh! a cheat meal…
Went to spend the day at a water park. Had eggs/cheerios that morning, then packed a sandwich with nonfat mayo and nonfat cheese. Packed a second meal - cottage cheese/apple. Ate both, but by the time we drove home, I was ready for a cheat meal - Panda Express….I had orange chicken, veggies, steamed rice. Swimming at the waterpark was my exercise

Ok, so I realize that this diet provides me a whole new variety of a menu, but the same concepts as usual - high protein, low carbs (usually in the am), lots of veggies. So on 4th of July I decided to try to make it through a bbq with the menu at hand, and did so successfully! I had a beef kabob with very little pasta and lots of veggies. I stayed away from the snacking, but I did have some freshly blended watermelon and cantelope juice - yum! Went to the gym that morning and did arms/chest.
