no gym today :(

Eating right, while there are trays and trays of muffins and fruit on the counter behind me at work.

Slight pain in the shoulder from yesterday’s 2 1/2 hour workout..unfortunately other tedious responsbilities need to be dealt with tonight, but I will still get 4-5 days in this week.

Spirits still high! down 3 lbs at 178 now.

Yesterday did some leg work:

 lunges, presses, curls, extensions, etc.

cardio, switchin 2 machines 20 minutes

ate well.

 

Today: going to do some physical therapy work and chest/abs/back and cardio 30 minutes.

cooked some yummy chicken with onions,bell peppers…brown rice with mustard….mixed greens

What a weekend!

Been good with my diet for a good week now. Got through the hardest time, the weekend of my first week! Got to the gym 4 times last week…good. Got to talk physical challenges with a childhood friend with the same passion, then went to a bb competition and got motivated and inspired there again. Cheered on my friend Amie who won 3rd in both of the classes she entered in: 35+ and open class d….proud friend. going to keep this ball rollin! food is not my friend, it’s a source of fuel…need quality fuel!!

i guess it IS therapeutic!

 today i:

-caught up on my reading with the female transformations on bb.com

-looked in the mirror in my one-size-too-small skirt and remembered how it fit fine a year ago

-ate EXTREMELY clean

-am looking forward to a 3rd consecutive day at the gym

-took a mental break at lunchtime to destress

-reaffirmed my committment to my goals

-heard encouraging words at just the right moment

Getting the juice

The juice…hmm, they use that to talk about sterroids right?

 Well, I’m just referring to the fuel…..the fuel to keep my motivation going! I’m getting that juice back…the wheels are turning, the spirits are getting higher….I am so blessed to be able to get feedback and advice from you strong-minded successful healthy people!

 Physical therapist says I’m progressing well, I’m getting to use weights now instead of Therabands. I’m actually sweating when I do cardio now. And my appetite is under control because I’m no longer stressing (even though my life has not slowed down!).

Concentrating on keeping diet straight. Going to a competition this weekend to see my old Phat Camp roommate compete….just great timing on a motivational push!

Weight problem

Well, sure enough….with all the stress in my life and my injury, I gained 20 pounds since July of last year.

I feel that added weight: knees get weak, shoulders/back pain at times, bra strap pressure. It is all coming back to me, how I used to feel when I weighed 210. This time I don’t think my body will be strong enought to carry the additional weight.

Wardrobe options are running slim. I REFUSE to buy bigger sizes. It’s time for the meltdown. My scale and measuring cup came out of the cabinets this past weekend.

 At this time, only motivation I have are Bodyspace and the mirror. Looks like Bodyspace blog is my new BFF.

Off with the diets, change the lifestyle

I just can’t seem to committ to a diet when my normal food choices are off wack too. I have decided to just focus on eating healthy foods and watching my calorie count. Even when I was on a particular diet, I relied on it and didnt’ watch portions which led to higher end of the day calories….so I am going back to basics. Watching my whites, fats, and getting small frequent balanced meals with a calorie count of 1200/day. We’ll check on results in a few weeks. Exercise: cardio 6xWeek, train 3xWeek for now.
