In those jeans….

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

Saturday 4/14

I stared at those jeans hanging on my towel rack everyday for one year straight. One of my inspiration pieces. Never thought it would actually become reality, but needed them there for motivation. I haven’t worn those jeans since 1997 when I was 20 years old and 140 lbs. I can’t wear them now, but I sure can squeeze into them!!! Just the fact that they closed this week as opposed to last week is a wonderful feeling!!! I knew my tummy was feeling flatter, I just knew it - regardless of the scale showing 2 pounds up. This was such a milestone for me that I had to take a picture and share on here. What a feeling!!!

I’m really excited to see what I will look like by June 30th. I really am.

Motivation

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

Ok, this is weird. I am getting comments and messages on here from VERY FIT PEOPLE telling me that my motivation is motivating them!! I’m getting big ass bodybuilders at the gym walking up to me to tell me I’m starting to look really good. One of my trainers, one who has trained football teams, military, and has been a bodybuilder herself is telling me that seeing my progress gives her the fulfillment of why she even goes to work everyday. I received a card at work this week from a coworker congratulating me of how far I’ve come. (It was adorable by the way - it sang "New Attitude" song! lol)

So what motivates me? Seeing all of YOU! Seeing how there are people just like me that struggle everyday makes me feel that I’m not alone. There are even people who look perfect to me that have their own goals and prove that with hard work, you can accomplish anything. Weekly transformations are inspiring. I also keep a picture of an autographed Jen Hendershott pic on my desk, keep an older pic of me on my work desk, and flexing in the mirror (seeing the progress) keeps me wanting more progress.

The strive to look good naked, wear a bikini, to fit in my 10 year old jeans (almost there!) - these things remind me that I must keep going. Food is no longer my consolation. When I’m down, I go to you guys for my upper….I walk outside and smell the fresh air and remember that I only live once. Little things don’t bother me anymore….I think BIG! I appreciate the people in my life.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND OTHERS WILL BELIEVE IN YOU. YOUR MOTIVATION MOVES OTHERS!!
