While I agree with your assessment that P90X is certainly NOT a routine for Competitive bodybuilding, I'm not sure by who--or where --that claim is made. I've been through it a couple times, and my understanding is that it was designed for people already in good shape to improve overall health and wellness--and make you more athletic. However, you CAN make adjustments to fit you goals and build muscle mass--I'm proof of that. I've just never heard of it being considered for serious bodybuilding competitors.

The only thing that I can think of is that I usually don't use caffeine at all and my body had a bad reaction. I did stop taking it when the rash got really bad and it has cleared up. I'm going to try again next week.

I know different products work differently for different people, but I'm glad I saw this post from you. This was going to be the next thing I tries. I'm on Recreate right now, and so far...not a damn thing. Hasn't help me that I can tell and been on it for almost 5 weeks. Trying to give it the full 60 days it recomends, but I don't know. If you keep on with the rash, I'd stop. Something wrong there. (and your right, don't look like you really need it) Good luck. I'll keep an eye out for your next report.

"Remember ? when brands like Weider and Twinlab ruled the supplement market?"

I sold those products. Worked part-time at a GNC store while I was attending college - 1988-1992 time frame. Twinlab's Gainers Fuel was the bomb.

And I'm sure I had at least one container of Weider's Crash Weight Gain No. 7. But the big thing during that time for this poor college students was my Osterizer blender. Milk, peanut butter, ice cream, eggs, bananas... I loved making my own.

Also, hey, Rocky actually had me drinking those raw eggs like in the movie. I saw that film in 1976 on the big screen. You could find my teenaged self chugging raw eggs out of a tall glass almost every day. lol

Tonight I had a surprise. I mixed two scoops of ON's casein protein powder with about six ounces of cold milk. That stuff turned into a milkshake or like a verrrry thick yogurt. It doesn't do that with water. Not a bad surprise, though.

Thanks for jogging my memory on the supplements of days gone by!
