had a great workout to ring in new year…also so i won’t feel guilty having a bit of good cheer :)   incorporating some sprints during lifting to continue to burn this dreaded fat around the middle… weight is same but i see muscles in legs defining…  the abs will come… i’m sure of it :)   may everyone be safe and and have a happy new year!!

5 day goal working

5 days on and 2 days off of strict dieting is working for me… lost a lb. before christmas…probably put it back on over the holiday but i’m ok with that…those home-made goodies only come once a year and we must’nt deprive ourselves of that!!  :)   trying to focus on leaning out so i’m stepping up the intensity of my workouts..less rest between sets and more sets with less weight… except for leg day cause i gotta get these babies BIGGER!!  sprints on the treadmill are really helping to define the muscles in my legs and making my hams pop…  found jamie eason’s workout on her b-space…gonna see if i can keep up with that for a couple of weeks..think my routine needs a little shaking up to shock my muskles :)

2nd day of strict diet

so far so good..not really fighting cravings..wonder if the flaxseed oil is actually helping with that…  feel clean and and my energy is actually up…wierd…thought i’d be wanting a loaf of bread by now :)   this is only a test and i’m not expecting a big weight loss in 5 days but this is the first time i’ve tried to follow a specific diet plan..and i don’t mean diet like to lose weight necessarily.. i want to incorporate this nutritionally into my every day life… i want my body to be fed in the right way so as to grow and also stay lean….i think giving myself short term goals is whats going to work for me…baby steps…

5 days…

started a 5 day diet plan just to see if i could actually stick to something strict! :)   mostly chiken and rice, protein shakes, a sweet potatoe here and there… and LOTS of water…no carbs after 3…  its that last part i have such trouble with..  i always want a huge roll or cereal around 7 or 8 :)   i made the goal short in hopes that i could see the light at the end of the tunnel.. plus i want to eat on christmas day!!  my tummy is already grumbling….oh no!!

i want to go to the next level!!  i want to see how far i can take this body, shape this body, mold this 35 year old body… i want people to look at me wierd cause i carry a gallon of water around with me everywhere and a cooler in my car…  i want people to roll there eyes when i say sure i can go but i gotta go to the gym first… this is my life and i want to look amazing and feel amazing and wear a bikini while all my friends are buying tankinis… and mom jeans… not me sista!!  i’m fighten the good fight all the way till the end!!  don’t they understand that fit and happy is so much more fun than fat and miserable??  now, if you’ll excuse me, i’m hoppin on the treadmill!!

sore!!

great back workout yesterday…worked out my sadness over losin my hubby as a workout partner cause of his new job…its a blessing but such a downer cause we have so much fun in the gym…it just won’t be the same :(

did upper and lower back in same day and thought that it would be too much but i ended up pushing myself really hard and my lats feel like i used a meat mallet on them… and oh the hamstrings and glutes are soooo sore!!  deadlifts rock!! 

i need a partner!!  i hate goin in there alone!!  lol

progress!!

lost 4 lbs.    7 away from goal…the running is helping plus trying to not eat carbs after 6pm… doin 5 miles in the mornin…longest i’ve done since injury…we’ll see how it goes :)

a new beginning

so…. i haven’t been blogging for awhile… all my running injuries had me bummed but i’ve managed to put on some serious muscle….but along with that i’ve put on over 15lbs….:(    so, i’m back up to running about 30 min. solid without too much pain and i did a 5 mile turkeytrot on thanksgiving….  so, i have no excuse not to lean back out….  i’ve discovered something about myself…. that i reach goals alot easier when i have a very specific plan…so i’m considering speaking with a nutritionist to get a diet tailored to my needs….its difficult for me to determine what i should eat when i want to run but also want to maintain the muscle i’v worked so hard for….  i think i would be happy losing at least ten of these extra pounds… people say i get too thin when i run but i think i was just not refueling correctly before…going to find help with that today!!
