uggghhh

taking a week off sux!!  but my joints were begging for a hiatus…did i spell that right? :)   anyway..i swear my body is changing thru this rest period and i know i’m gonna come back on top of my game … trying to eat really lean so i don’t make losing this 11lbs. any harder than it already is :)   i’m not motivated to do any other cardio than running and i’m unable to do that via injuries… sooooo, what’s a girl to do?  i just get bored with every thing else :(   suppose i gotta just suck it up and hop on a bike or something

no more what ifs, if only-ies, shoulda, coulda, woulda-s…no more excuses… the body i want is right around the corner and theres no reason i shouldn’t have it… this is a new day, a new week, a new mindset… i’m gonna get this done.. PERIOD

taking time off

with less than 2 wks. till my race and still feeling the pains from my injuries, i’ve decided to take several days off to let my body heal after over 5 wks. of heavy training.  my goal of 2hrs. is definately not going to be met so my only hope now is to just run, enjoy the ride, and i suppose set more goals for a future race… its difficult to accept i won’t be in top form but thats just where i’m at untill i’m fully healed.. i probably shouldn’t run it at all… i’ll make that decision closer to race time…

 i haven’t realized how much of my life is consumed with training untill taking time off from the gym… i have so much time!!  not sure what to do with it :)   is that unhealthy?…. i suppose i could be addicted to much worse ;)

pull-ups

getting there….dedication is the one thing that will get you to your goals… consistancy is key… i’m shocked every time i go into the gym and some improvement has been made, another rep on pull-ups, another 5lbs. to my deadlift… but i shouldn’t be, i work my ass off in there and my body is proof… a transformation is taking place.. not only physically, but mentally as well… i’m a new person

after going super heavy for about 3 weeks, we decided to confuse our legs today with 4 triple sets of leg presses, front squats and finished with plyo jumps… holy crap!! we almost puked :) then we walked, or should i say stumbled, over to do 4 sets of high rep extensions… man, my legs are already sore :)   very very good workout… a couple of people said we were motivating and i think that was the best part… i hope to always encourage others to push themselves…

5×5 still working

tonite was lower back and went up 10 lbs. on deadlift.. 5×5 technique really seems to be working for me… i love this workout, i think its my favorite oddly enough.. i always leave the gym feeling really strong and i get like an endorphine rush that last for several days after deadlift day :)   i love it!!

 so, i was looking at one of the girl’s bspace, i think it was calligirl… can’t remember exactly… anyways, she was doing plank with a weight on her back!!  so anyway, i had to try it…man!! it makes you sweat your cohonies off… well, if i had them they would be dripping :)   and i’m not sure a even spelled that right… ok i just got off a tangent… so my hubby put a 35 on me at first… one minute, no prob… then i did a 45!!  crap, my legs are still pumped from holdin that sucker up :) …. my props to homegirl who said she holds that for four minutes… i did it but i was shaking like crazy :)  

i’m always gettin motivated by other people on this site… so many great ideas, ways to test your body, and beautiful people!!

third day of hiit

and i feel really good but i can’t budge the scale right now.. its driving me bananas!! its like my body is in LOVE with its fat and is REFUSING to let it go!! :)   i know i have to give this hiit thing a chance but i’m growing very impatient!  my goal is nearing and i haven’t lost an oz.!!  gonna go super clean the rest of the time to see if i can’t trick my lbs. into movin on :)   i haven’t quite figured out the carb thing and i think i might need help cycling between high and low days… i’m sooooo tired when i go low and i hate that feeling… whats the use of being hot if you can’t hold your eyes open!! :)

back day

actually got 2 whole wide grip pull-ups!! :)   can do 4 close grip… its coming along i suppose, thats just one of those excercises you don’t want to do in the gym…especially if you’re not good at them yet :)   but hey, when i first started i couldn’t do one dip and now i’m doing 3 sets of ten :)   can’t wait till i can complete my sets unassisted!! probably having this extra weight on me doesn’t help either :)

thinking about cycling off the no explode for a week or so to see if i can get rid of this bloated feeling… really want to get leaner but not being able to run has left me wondering how to burn calories… any other cardio feels so useless… i hardly get out of breath…. although i did do some crossfit stuff the other day and felt like i was dying :)   its just so hot in my garage right now and i don’t like doin that in the gym cause everyone gawks :)   oh well, i’ll figure it out…

gains!!

yay! my legs are responding to the new 5×5 routine, as well as everything else!!  did heavy legs yesterday and was able to add 20lbs. on squats and leg presses…  not sure how long to expect enough gains to actually see a ’sweep’ but they are definately full feeling and i can tell they are changing :)   i’m trying not to be too impatient about seeing a bb body in the mirror but i work really hard and i want it NOW!! :)   i’m hoping to see major transformations by christmas… not sure if that’s totally unrealistic… but that’s what i’m pushing for :)   finally getting pre-kid butt back too  ha ha  and thats something to celebrate :)
