April 30, 2009

The Animal Barbell Club is going to be ripping it up at OSX Fitness this coming Sat. May 2nd in Wilmington, Delaware.  If you’re interested contact myslef or go to animalpak.com (the forum) and search "Delaware Animals". There will be a few top Powerlifters there along with National Level NPC competitor "Big Al" Fortney and 2008 Mr. NPC Delaware Andy Sedar.  I expect to see some 700+lb deadlifts and near the same on the bench as well as some NPC competitors that are only a few weeks out training hardcore in OSX’s awesome faclilties. Hit me up! Peace.

You are what you eat…..You reap what you sow…..

January 19, 2009

I’ll start by saying I understand we all have different metabolisms. We all react differently to certain diets, Excercises, Supplements, Drugs etc so that taken into consideration….. I’ll say that those variables have AT MOST a 20% Impact on your results (Combined not individually).

So people that have known me for long periods of time know that I was once a SKINNY (140lb) pound young adult that kickboxed, lifted weights mildly and ran my ass off so that my stamina in the ring was good. I drank lots of beer and ate like shit in those days..I would diet from 155-160 (beer and taco bell bloated) lbs to 145lbs at weigh ins. That worked then…..this is now…This is a different life and these times are much different.

I now am 23yrs old been in this Iron game for 3.5 yrs and have taken myself from 145lbs not being able to bench 135lbs once to a 200lb man that can Deadlift double his bodyweight for reps and Bench my bodyweight for 20+ reps clean…… Why? Because’ I put in the effort and ate the foods to do so. I’m not an "Fitness Ad worthy" by any means but I’m not sloppy fat either. People ask me all the time… "How did you put on so much weight anbd get so strong etc etc etc"…. My first response to them is FOOD!!! I then ask what their diet looks like and even if they tell me they eat 3 square meals a day I know that they aren’t serious about their goals or have not taken the time and effort to research what they need to be doing…

Over these past 3…almost 4 yrs I have had dozens of people want to "lift" with me but what I have come to realize is that even the most motivated person may bring you down at times… if you have an Excercise, set number of reps, Specific weight to achieve don’t divert from that path simply because your training partner "Doesn’t have time" or  "can’t do" another set etc.  If you want results you have to push and push hard.  Your body wants to be in Homeostasis and unless you give it a reason to add more muscle then it’s not going to! You have to have the calories there to support that growth as well.

Eat Big and clean and you will be big and clean….. Eat like a bird or eat like shit and well……. You know what to expect.

Have "Light days"(Are we on our ****in’ period?!) or "I’m skipping that today" days and your body will do the same to your muscle growth.

You are what you Eat and you reap what you Sow!!!! Eat up and train Hard!
