I have had some minor set backs recently. I will no longer be able to join the marines and so my goals have changed a little bit. After learning I can’t join the marines I was depressed for a few weeks so I wasn’t keeping up on the diet or going to the gym. I decided though that this might not be a bad thing. My goals now are kind of flipped, I still want to lose weight and become healthier, but I think that getting "ripped" might be alittle unrealistic for my body type and structure. I have always been big and strong and now I just want to get bigger and stronger than I ever have been. I want to add lean muscle and strength while still decreasing my body fat percent. Ive always enjoyed watching the strongmen compete and I look up to those men. I have always wondered if I have what it takes to compete and it’s also been a dream of mine to be able to compete. I found it’s easier for me to get bigger and stronger than it is for me to lose body fat so I am going to look and my bodies strengths and work on them. Of course I wouldn’t mind dropping my body fat percent along the way though.
It’s a new week, we will see how it goes.

I had to work last night for the first time in a few weeks. I put on my work pants and to my surprise they were quite a bit more loose than they were the last time I wore them! That was the little bit of progress I have been looking for, it motivated me and instead of eating junk food and drinking soda to keep me up all night I was able to keep going with out getting tired thinking about what is to come in my journey to transform my body and become a healther, cleaner more spiritual person. I got home around 5, slept for a few hours and than got up and went to the gym! Even though ive only had about four hours of sleep I am energized and having a good day. That is another thing I have noticed, I have more energy! I am going to start doing p90x next week so hopefully that will help bring about some more changes. Im going to start taking a picture of myself every day for the duration of my transformation, I will only post one picture a week though. Hopefully the progress will be noticable.

I am finally starting to get serious. Lately I haven’t been doing much to lose weight. I was going to join the army but when a recruiter failed to meet with me after school one day I changed my mind and slacked off on working towards my goals. A few weeks ago I met with some marine recruiters who gave me a diet to follow where you can lose 10 pounds in 3 days. I followed the diet for a week but than lost interest and gave up for awhile. Recently I have decided it was really time to make some serious changes. I had a drug problem which was not helping me to lose weight in anyway, I was unmotivated and unhappy. I was able to kick the drug problem and since than my mindset towards losing weight and joining the marines has changed. It has been tough though I had to give up my friends but it was for the better. It’s been about a week now, I have lost a few pounds and excersized every day. I have tried many times before to change my body but I always end up losing site of the goal and giving up. This time around things seem different. I am more excited to go to the gym and to eat healthier. I don’t know why I feel so differently but it’s a good thing and I am looking forward to seeing changes.
