I HATE Cardio…

I HATE cardio… I hate running…  It’s cold out… I have to get up early….  My shins/knees always hurt…  Even though I KNOW I’d make progress so much faster if I do more cardio I just LOATHE doing it… 

Water=Bloating?

Is it just me… Or does drinking all this water make you feel bloated?  I don’t like water but for some reason I can focus on drinking it while I’m at work…. So I try to cram about 3 liters in 7-8 hours…  It leaves me feeling bloated & sluggish ESPECIALLY after lunch.  Will this eventually go away? 

Passed my PT test!! Now I can get back to weight training!!

Ok, I took a few days off b/c I had a pt test (Army) coming up. I did 85 pushups, 62 situps, and walked 2.5 miles in 34 minutes.  So tomorrow I’m gonna hit the gym & my goal is to go HARD.  I can’t wait!!!

Picky Eater…

Okay, so far I’m running into a problem.  I’ve realized my diet is the source of my "added weight"… So I’ve been making measures to change my eating  habits.  I have a gallon jug of water I keep @ my desk & I drink half to 3/4 of it every day while I’m at work. I’ve given up sodas =( and I miss them so…  I don’t eat candy much anymore either.  I’ve run into problems trying to get protein tho.  For example… 

 

Most things the "serious" guys eat I don’t like.  I’m not to the point where I can choke something nasty down everyday b/c it’s just gonna make me want some bad tasty food.  lol  I don’t really care for chicken.  I don’t eat seafood (fish included) period.  My diet used to consist of a lot of pastas & breads.  Now I’m trying to eat those sparingly or in the mornings & limit my dinner to meat + veggies.  The problem is if I weigh 184 I want to try to take in around 200g of protein a day.  I don’t think I even get close tho.  I drink a protein shake (Monster Milk by Cytosport) before bed which is like 50g.  I don’t have a whey yet to drink during the day.  I feel like the only way I’m going to hit my protien goals is to drink like 4 shakes a day & I think that sux.  lol  I dont’ eat salads….  I’m just so picky but I don’t want to force myself to eat things EVERY day & be miserable but in shape.  Are there any other picky eaters out there?  If so, share some recipes with me. 

3 weeks in…

Well, I’ve been working out & browsing this site for 3 weeks now…  I’m kind of confused right now b/c I want to keep my workout schedule going, but I have a PT test on Saturday.  I’m worried that if I work out today I might not have as much "push" as I want to have on my PT test this Saturday.  So, I might just rest today & Friday.  So I guess we’ll see…
