Well, made it through week 1! Didn’t even miss a workout (yet). I cleaned the weight room today in preparation for some more time down there (My 2 year old found out that lifting chalk also works really well for drawing on the floor/walls/equipment/chairs). I came back up a little bit in weight over the weekend, but my % came down, so all is good. I have the squat workout today and (fingers crossed) hope to get 40 minutes or so of cardio in as well today.
Yesterday I ate (poorly)
3/4 C. Oatmeal, 1 banana, 2 T. milk
1 salad, 1 can tuna, salsa, 2 T. greek dressing
8 oz. chicken breast, 3/4 cup shredded chedder cheese, 2 string cheese sticks
1 bowl spaghetti (approx. 5 oz. cooked), 1 cup meat and tomato sauce, 4 oz. chicken breast
1 scotch (3 shots or so), 1 bag popcorn with 2 T parmasean cheese and 1 T ranch powder

Tired today. The boys kept me up last night. That and getting ready to come off of paternity leave (read calling and answering calls most of the day) got in the way of a good bit of training. Did get 20 minutes of cardio in all told. We went grocery shopping in the afternoon for a few hours as well (slow walking, but better than sitting).That, and the diet was very good today, in spite of buying 8 bags of halloween candy! Tommorow should be deadlifts, abs, and pull downs.
Diet today was:
2 eggs, salsa, oatmeal with brownsugar and cinnamin, coffee
1 salad with 1 can tuna, 1/4 tomato, greek dressing
1 partially eaten tootsie roll (a present from my 2 1/2 year old )
2 chicken breasts, 1 large salad, 1 cup shredded chedder cheese, 1 mozzarella "string cheese", 1/2 tomato, 3T French dressing
last meal finished before 6:45 pm

So, did yoga today. The d.o.m.s. hit a bit this morning, but nothing a hot shower and some stretching didn’t help. Yesterday was bench, dips, and tricep pressdowns. Danced again for cardio (1 hour). Today is kinda busy but I’ll finish up with my cardio after the boys go down for bed again.
Meals yesterday:
2 eggs, salsa, 3/4 cup oatmeal, 1 T. brown sugar and cinnamin, 4 T skim milk
1 large salad, 1 can tuna, 3 T. greek dressing
14 oz. chicken breast, 3/4 C. chedder rice, 1 cup creamed corn
1 bag popcorn with ranch powder seasoning

Lost 2 lbs. last night. I did "Dance Dance Revolution" for cardio. Today is bench, dips, and tricep work with another 30-40 minute round of cardio. So far no d.o.m.s., but we’ll see what tommorrow brings.
Yesterday’s meals:
2 eggs, salsa, 3/4 C. Oatmeal (dry), 1 banana
Large lettuce, red cabbage, and carrot salad. 1 can tuna, 1/4 tomato, 2 Tbs. greek dressing
8 oz. meatloaf (extra lean), 1/3 C. scalloped potatos, 1 C. peas
1 bag popcorn

Well, I’m back in the gym after…wow…ten months?! I’ve a million excuses but the reasons to come back are greater. So, today I did squats, hipsled, dumbell curls and reverse grip curls. I’ll do 30-40 minutes of cardio after the boys are in bed tonight. Hard part is going to be cutting out the extra food after 7p.m.. Wish me luck.
