Sorry for the absence

I was involved in an accident a few weeks ago. I’m not allowed to talk about it yet. I haven’t been in the gym since May. I’m going to the doctors daily. Just bummed. I miss the gym like crazy. Trying not to think about it though.

I went on a little hiatus from bb for the week. It was just a hectic schedule last week at work but I by no means slacked off. Nate (my trainer/bf) took a week off from the gym. He has too much going on in his life to be at the gym as much as we are. I still went though. I didn’t do as much weight training without him but still put in the time. Cardio, abs and glutes most of the week. Nate got a new car (dodge magnum, she’s a Beast)or is working on it now so he had an appt at the dealership Tues and wasn’t able to make it to the gym. Got my cardio in which I think I am going to switch out next week. The bike is geting mudane to me.

 

Yesyerday was our first day back int he gym together. Boy today my everything hurts. We put in a two day workout into one. My abs are burning. my tris are all swollen, my bis are popped out. I burned up my quads on Tuesday. They’re still sore today. My shoulders are heavy but my posture is getting so much better.

 

I feel accomplished when him and I are done. If I can hang with him I can hang with just about anyone in the gym. I’ll post pics sometime this week. No slacking. I am watching

I was doing so good with this whole gym nutrition thing. Last week it was legs cramps. Today is was a stomach bug. I became close friends with the porcelain god. So not a sexy look at all. I am feeling a little better. My tummy is still tight but at least I got food down FINALLY. Nate came by and made me lunch. I dont know what I’d do without him. I was too weak to get up and do it myself. i am going to the gym today no matter what later. For now I am off to sleep!!

I keep getting this calf cramps for the last two days!! it’s making me crazy!! I am going to the gym.

 

I heard it could be because of potassium intake and sodium/electrolytes. I am stretching before and after the workout. I am gonna try eating extra bananas. Something has to give cause I am hooked to being in the gym. I have to admit the trainers and staff at my gym are some of the friendliest ppl in the world. It maybe because Nate worked there at one time but I like going in there. Makes for a better workout when you see the same friendly ppl every time you walk in.

I got a good 45 minute ride in yesterday. 15 miles on the bike on uphill climb!! Let me just tell you there is nothing easy about it. I had sweating running down my back and dripping on the floor. It was serious!! My calves are tingley and my thighs are on fire!!

 

Nate got there and put me through it. i think he gets off on watching me cringe after my last set. LOL. Abs are tightening. Just need to get all the extra padding off of them. Which for some reason is just not happening no matter how much cardio I put in.

My triceps are starting to pop out some. I got a little bicep development going on. My legs have always been really solid. They’re just getting defined more. I really want a well defined back and tummy with some tight obliques. Overall if nothing else I feel better than I have in forever!! Thanks Nate. You’re by far my favorite partner and the gym even though I tell you I hate you almost every workout!! LMAO.

 

Today is my easy day for the most part. All cardio. Abs and glutes are done too. heart rate though and sweat is what I am after. My hr was 177 yesterday on that bike!! Who knows what too high is?? Anyways it’s time to fuel up . have a good one everyone!!

Flirty much??

Went to the gym with Nate last night. It was a great workout. My abs are still all tight. I love it. On the way home he gave me this box and told me to open it when I got in the house. He is known for all sorts of surprises and always have something up his sleeve. it’s great. I came through my bag down and went and made dinner completely forgetting the box. I’m not blonde i swear. LOL

He got home and text me to see if I opened it. it dawned on me that what I was using as a snack tray had something in it. LOL. i opened it up and the Flirty Girl Fitness DVDs were inside. I have been wanting them forever now and I make him watch the commercial all the time. He got fed up with me talking about it and just went and got them for me. I am ridiculously excited to try them out today. I am going to follow the meal plan and grocery list that came with them.

I love that he is as about my physical transformation as I am. He really pushes and motivates me all the time. I love that he is my number one fan and stays in my corner!! it really makes a big difference when you have that support.

I can tell it’s working.

My weight hasn’t changed much this week BUT I am starting to see the changes in my body. My arms are starting to develop some. Little things that no one else would probably notice but me. My lega are solid. They always have been but thet’re starting to take shape too. Overall I am pretty satified. Going to start taking a metabolism booster cause just working out and eatting are not working. My metabolism is shot after being on those steroids from my surgery. It’s going to be a long road but I am so in this for a permenant change. A lifetime commitment.

 

In other news my ex boyfriend text me this morning to see if I would attend his wedding?? in July. Yeah okay. The guy didnt have a girlfriend a month ago and now he’s engaged. Such a dousche. He is the idiot that caused my last surgery cause he wasnt man enough to walk away and when I tried to get him out of my place he smashed me in the face with a baseball. I dont wish anything bad on anyone but I’d love to beat his a$$ still. LOL.

All better??

My hip is still a lil tight but overall I’m feeling alot better. Went to the gym and got in a quickie Friday night. Had a dinner that didnt go so well at nate’s mom’s house. Anyways, I am going to get in at least three full workouts this week. Suppose to go tonight after work. Strength training with Nate. Going to get some cardio in before he gets there. I am hopefully back on track. He dropped my weight and pushed up my reps. i’ve seen subtle changes in my body already. i think this change is for life though. It’s really hard not to keep it up when I have him pushing me. I’m grateful.

I am pretty excited at a small feat. I have lost 6 pounds without using the hydroxycut I swore i would need to boost my metabolism. As much as it hurts the day after, nate has done my body good. It may seem pretty small but to me it shows I am on the right track to reach my goal by July. I am focused and becoming more driven to get to where I want to be. One day at a time. I try not to get on the scale everyday but instead once at the beginning and once at the end of the week. The scale and I have been long time enemies. I am trying to get past our past battles and become better acquainted. Going into tonight’s workout I am feeling pretty good tho.

Another rough workout

So week two in the gym has taken shape this week. I am not as sore as I was last week. I mean my arms and chest stayed sore all week last week. I know it’s that good pain but boy it showed me how out of shape I’ve become. Nate put me through it again on Tuesday. He pushes me harder than he does his cousin who we workout with also. This week it is just my biceps that are sore. Overall I am feeling alot better about this whole process though. I know it is one workout at a time. Leaving it all on the floor. I am ready for it.
