Well I’ve finally managed to pull it off ….I got a gym membership. Has been quite a learning curve. There is so much info. They did the whole assesment thing but its a bit weird espescially their diet plan. Its horrifying I would blow up like a balloon if I had to follow it. As for the training its a bit to broad for my needs but it is early days and it has been quite a while since I done any working out, I figure its going to be while before I find my feet. I tried powerplate classes yesterday but I am not sure how to follow them up, ie: what training to do the day after. My main goal at this point is to maintain my upper body and get my lower body to match so its a little tricky, my weight is also only 44kg so I cant really lose more weight my BMI is right on its lower limits so I have to be carefull how I do this. (any advice would be wellcome) Hopefully all goes well and I can can keep it up. Had nice Angelfish for supper tonight ..yummy

Good grief thing have gone a bitty pear shaped. Hubby has been retrenched and I have been really busy with my new bussiness so I haven’t had much time to even think let alone spend time on my bodyspace. Apologies to people who have been contacting me. Must understand that bodyspace is not exactly priority number one right now, never mind that our broadband has been up the pole as well. As you may have noticed I have not posted any new pics later do not worry I will post more eventually we just have to get through the hard times, I’m sure there are many out there that are in the same boat. I will continue to look after my health and watch my eating habits maybe I may not have as much time to train but I will be back ..my laptop battrey is about to go ….bye for know

Well last week I started a 2 month session at www.adventurebootcamp.co.za We’ll see how it goes. I think I may just have taken on too much as I am in the process of starting up a new bussiness which is eating up a lot of time. On top of it I miss my boys a bit. Last night hubby made brown rice, roasted veg and chicken served with a bit of plain homeamade yoghurt. Today I will have some rice and veg for lunch with a bit of fruit in the morning and afternoon to snack on. So I’m hoping that with eating like this and combined with the bootcamp I should see some niiice progress.
for interests sake…
The roasted veg consisted of: Butternut, carrot, courgettes, sweet potatoe, onion, peppers (red, yellow, green), broccoli, caulifllower and some sliced mielies. A little was olive oil poured over it and it was roasted in the oven.
The Chicken: Skinless deboned breasts, chopped and fried in a little olive oil with some fresh herbs (rosemary, origanum, parsley and some garlic)
The rice: Just plain brown rice nuked in the microwave till done.
Serving: Put rice on a plate, veg on top of rice, chicken on top of veg and a little plain yoghurt on top of the whole lot .
Healthy food need not be tasteless!

Do yourselves a favour and get your hands on a yoghurt maker. They’re brilliant, found one at a second hand store for R50.00. Works like a charm. All you do is bring 900ml of milk to the boil mix in a little powdered milk and allow to cool to around body temperature. Add 100ml plain yoghurt and place in yoghurt maker. I will post pictures of the finished product tommorrow. If you leave the yoghurt longer than the recomemded time of 6 to 8 hours it will separate into curds and whey. You can drink the whey, tastes a little weird but apparantly is pretty good for you. Our yoghurt will be ready in the morning.

Fresh Fish and chips hmmmm
OK I know what youre thinking fried fish and chips? Well, there some slight deviations.
Ingredients
Fish: We used hake, a fairly common fish round these parts it has a a white flesh when cooked. You van use any fish though.
Cooking method
Heat Olive oil in a frying pan chuck in a small splodge of butter, a little bittie garlic and some herbs from the garden, dust fish lightly with flour And fry TIP: You can experiment with different flours as well eg: rye oat etc etc.
Use fresh potatoes for the chips (French Fries) wash well and peel skins carefully, use the skins as well. Fry in oil as per normal. This is the only time of week that we eat fried chips. Fried chips are not terribly healthy and are best avoided if you are on a way strict diet, a good alternative would be roasted potatoe wedges in olive ol.
Serve with a good wholesome salad consisting of as many colours as possible or economically viable. Tonight we did something with lettuce, tomatoe’s, a little onion, some peppers, cucumber, carrot and beans. I love my salad with yogurt so a bit of that gets splashed around. plain yoghurt goes with almost anything. Especially avo - witch we got to have tonight. I’m soo glad its avo season!

Tonight
Tuna Macaroni
Ingredients:
Tip: This is fantastic to have for lunch the following day so make a bit extra and save a bit for lunch.
Tuna
Pasta
Tomatoes
Onion
Lettuce
Cucumber
Beans (fresh, raw, tonight we were lucky for farm fresh)
Peppers red yellow green
Sometimes we use carrots but we’ve used up our carrots last night.
Quantities: No specifics you can’t really go to far wrong with this – as with everything moderation is the key.
Cut up veg, boil pasta place in bowl, mix in tuna and raw veg
Serve with a little grated cheese and yoghurt
Tonight’s notes
Yoghurt we believe aids digestion and promotes probiotic activity. Don’t believe the nonsense about low fat either, the advantages nutrionally and digestion wise outweigh any fat values so long as you are fairly active and don’t eat too much of it (moderation as with everything). The best of course is homemade yogurt but more on that some other time. Yoghurt is also a great replacement for mayonnaise which is nothing short of toxic gunk these days. Real mayonnaise is a real mission to make and has a severely limited shelf life (3 days). The stuff being sold as mayonnaise is so full of preservatives it is downright scary. Think about it… how do you make raw eggs last for a month or more AFTER opening? Try eating raw eggs after opening them and they have been sitting around for a month or more?
Coming tomorrow
Friday night fish
