Lately, I have been skiing. I can ski alright, but the last time I went I got stuck on the olympic courses of Hakuba ,Japan. I fell so much that my legs are purple with bruises. Then, I injured my knee the next day. I am discouraged because I am having difficulty bending and straightening my knee. I feel that I am set back in my goals. Last night I picked up som glucosamine and I’m already feeling better. I hope to post some progress next time.

I have been going back and forth between the two gyms available to me here on the base where I live in Yokosuka, Japan. They are nicknamed the old gym and the new gym. I liked going to the old gym. I enjoy the free weights and squatting with a heavy bar. The new gym is better for cardio sessions. I find that I can run longer and faster. I am trying to get in as much lifting as I can. I would like to hire a trainer or take a class. So far, I am trying to remember what I learned about lifting from the classes I took while I lived in New York. Here, the classes are not very convenient.
