			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is a continuation of the May 25th Self Motivation Challenge <a xhref="http://blog.bodybuilding.com/heyzeus909/2007/05/01/self-motivation-challengei-challenge-you/#comments">(click here for that blog)</a>. We had 26 entries for the first round!</p>
<p>Yeah, a few people have dropped out, but that’s inherent to any fitness Challenge. The fact that we have lost some people should only serve as a testament to the fortitude that it takes to reach your goals…no one said it was easy! The dropouts are living proof of that.</p>
<p>Thus the herd has been thinned…</p>
<p><b>FAQ:</b>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
<p><b>Q. What the hell is this?</b>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
<p>A. I like to set arbitrary dates to help me give my physique/health goals a timetable. I don’t do professional competitions, so I make up my own Challenges. It helps to keeps me drivin’, if ya know what I mean. I usually set these goals just a few weeks into the future. I invite YOU to join me.</p>
<p><b>Q. How do I join?</b>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
<p>A. It’s simple. All you have to do is post a link in this blog with a link to the picture you want to use, along with your goals , and I’ll enter your information into the blog. DON’T WORRY ABOUT UPLOADING A PIC! This blog format is next to impossible to use, so I’ll take care of it for you.</p>
<p><b>Q. When does the Challenge start and end?</b>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
<p>It starts when you join <img src='http://blog.bodybuilding.com/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  From there, we will have periodic dates (about every 3 to 4 weeks) in which we will upload progress pictures, and update our goals or make notes (when applicable). You can enter at any time, but the next date to upload progress pics is June 22nd.</p>
<p><b>Q. What do I win?</b>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
<p>A. Nothing, except hopefully, a better physique, improved self image,&nbsp; a few compliments from friends/family/coworkers, and improved health. What more could you ask for? Money and supplements? Nah…who needs that?</p>
<p><b>Q. What are the rules?</b>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
<p>A.1) Use any pic you want, but try to use the same pose, under the same conditions as possible for each pic you submit (i.e., pre/post workout, lighting, clothing) 2) No steriods or prohormones, or anything along those lines. I’m not going to provide a format that encourages people to forsake their health in the name of improving their physique. It’s not what I’m about.</p>
<p><b>Q. No…seriously, what do I win?</b>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
<p>A. This isn’t a “competition”…it’s a Challenge. You are Challenging yourself. We are here to encourage each other to complete our goals. It’s my way of trying to bring a little bit of sorely needed “community” to BodySpace.</p>

<p>Didn’t completely meet my goal, but I did drop about 5 lbs. I am sticking with cutting for now to see if I can really focus on getting my abs to pop.</p>

<p>I feel slightly thinner, I can’t really notice it but the scale says I dropped aroud 4lbs. Anyways I feel stronger, mainly my upper body. My arms feel a bit tighter now. I did lots of pull ups and chin ups and attempted some muscle ups but couldnt. I also did push ups and sits ups. i tried to do some cardio but I never found the energy to do any. Anyways, the main thing I learned about this contest is in order to really stayed focused is to set dates and goals for yourself. Prior to this, i wasn’t to consistent with my training.</p>

<p>My goal was to develop of visible abs. The change is subtle, I still have alot of bodyfat to lose before that happens. BUT I am now able to do 3 sets of 15-20 hanging knee raises; I was never able to do that before. Also, my posture continues to improve.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ok, I like to set arbitrary dates to help me give my physique goals a timetable. I don&#8217;t do professional competitions, so I make up my own competitions. It keeps me drivin&#8217;, if ya know what I mean. I usually set these goals just a few weeks into the future. This time, <strong>I invite YOU to join me.</strong></p>
<p>All you have to do is just say that you&#8217;ll join me, <strong>submit a &quot;before&quot; pic along with your goals (see below) </strong>and then by the Challenge date just submit a progress pic. The only thing you win is, hopefully, a better physique and improved health. Maybe at some point we can get a supplement company involved or something.<br />
We should have some rules, however.</p>
<p><strong>1) Pics should be of similar poses, and under similar conditions (lighting, pre/post workout, etc).</strong></p>
<p><strong>2) No steroids or prohormones, or any of that crap. This is about improving your physique AND your health.</strong></p>
<p>hmm&#8230;I&#8217;m sure there will be a lot more than just two rules <img src='http://blog.bodybuilding.com/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> . We&#8217;ll all work together to get this better organized. I&#8217;m open to suggestions on this, so send them to me! Let&#8217;s consider this first Challenge to be a dry run.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s get this thing started.</p>

I usually don&#8217;t let me know what it is that I&#8217;m going to do, so I kinda have to just go with the flow. So, I&#8217;m on day number two of a cut now all of a sudden.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll be taking progress pics tonight&#8230;if any turn out ok, I&#8217;ll post &#8216;em.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been growing increasingly antsy to go on this cut. I kept holding out&#8230;trying to add lean mass, but now it&#8217;s time for clarity and vascularity.
