Injuries are a pain. Overtraining is a real risk just like anything else. In my experience - professional help is extremely valuable in plotting a course to recovery. If not - I can tell you that I had a shoulder impingement that required me to modify my training for a year in order to keep a regular workout schedule and minimize the "losses". You can see the effects in the difference between left and right should muscle seperation in my AVI. Positive attitude and smart recovery will get you back quickest - best of luck!

Hey Heather, I feel your "pain". Occasionally my lower back acts up, or I tweak it. My knee bothered me last yr for about 6 wks. Here's what I did: Ease off on squats &amp; leg press. But I still did leg extensions &amp; curls. Keeping the quads strong actually helps the knee. I also did all cardio on the elliptical or bike to avoid aggravating the knee, while still getting it done. Plus, I always wear my weightbelt these days for squats so I can go hard &amp; heavy (I avoid deadlifts because of my back......I have scoliosis).

Give these a try while throttling back the workout intensity, so see if you can still get the workouts in while allowing the back &amp; knee to heal.

PS: Thx for the comment. I'm sloooooowly getting there. :D

Ur getting wiser, even if it has a toll on ur body right now. There's always a positive side to any crisis. Maybe u can focus more on ur diet, and be more atuned to ur body's signals for incoming injury. U'll do some neat workouts after your rest month, and u'll value them so much more!
God bless you.

I haven't taken that supplement but I think you could loose that weight with diet alone. You look fantastic as it is I'm not sure why you'd want to loose weight. Good luck with your goals none the less! :)

I think Al has it. I went through a similar issue with overtraining. It can kill your results. I hope all is well and you get this sorted out. We're pulling for you.

I agree w/ the above comment...you could be over training. but, as always diet is KEY!! Make sure you're getting lean protein, carbs and healthy fats at every meal...pre and post workout nutrition is very important so be sure you are fueling yourself for your training :)

A few thoughts: (I'm assuming you're trying to lose a "little" BF for definition, as you are not overweight):

1) How consistent is your diet? Is this indicative of your diet everyday? Also, you may need to slightly lower the daily amount of calories. Eating clean is proper, but you also have to be at a daily calorie deficit.

2) It looks to me like you're doing way too much training. Wts &amp; cardio everyday? Your body needs rest. Both from off days, and from getting plenty of sleep.

3) Try doing HIIT instead of the LONG, plodding, boring stead state cardio. HIIT only takes 15-30 min's. It raises the metabolism higher than steady-state cardio, but importantly, it keeps it raises for longer duration after the workout.

I have taken it before - if you read the ingredients it really is just zinc, magnesium and b6. All in specific ratios but thats all, no hormonal from female t male shifts will happen unless you have a suspect product!! Good luck :)
