THE ULTIMATE MEAL….

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Have you herd of this product??? I bought and drank this shake last year during the summer months because of a you tube video that I found and was totally sold on this product. I am changing my meal plan a bit because I just cant stand the looks of chicken anymore and to tell you the truth all I eat is oatmeal, chicken, cottage cheese and spinach. My carbs are WAY too low and I just decided that carbs are a good thing (in moderation of course). After adding in a sweet potato after lifting I found that by adding in some good carbs my energy is so much better! I decided last night when I went grocery shopping that I would change somethings and just see what happens. I bought sweet potato, quinoa brown rice and tofu to incorporate with my oatmeal, greek yogurt and cottage cheese. I also went for more varitey as far as veggies go. I got some squash, red onion and zuchinni. I was under the idea that everything had to be green or else! I want color and balance. Last night for dinner I had Quinoa, tofu, squash, beets, zuchinni and wheat berries. It was awesome and so much better and filling than my usual three chicken tenders and spinach. Which by the way gave me the worse gas and made me hungry and unsatisfied as soon as I ate it. My meal stuck with me last night and I didnt even have any cravings before bed like before. When you are on a super low carb diet you crave things you dont normally do, your brain doesnt work and totally on edge. I am not getting ready for a competition so whay be on a competition diet all year? So back to what I was saying before. I bought again (it isnt cheap) The Ultimate Meal and want to get super nurishment so I am going for the gold. Look at what this stuff has in it!!!! I will have it for breakfast with a 1/2 a cup of keifer and a half of a banana. I may even have it after my workout too if I want. I did it during the summer and looked and felt amazing. So Carbs here I come (only going up to about 130 grams, but was at like 60 grms for the whole day.) Here is the ingrediate list….

Back From Vacation and I need back my MOTIVATION!

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

So, I went to California and had the time of my life…I pretty much let myself have some much needed fun. My diet wasnt terrible but then again it wasnt the best. I ate and drank what i wanted. When I left for vacation I was 121 pounds and when I got back (just one week later) I weighed in at 130 even. Wow, I know. See what happens when you dont eat carbs really and then you do. That got me in gear really quick. I arrived at the Atlanta airport at 5:20 in the morning after a 6 hour flight (left SF at 10 p.m.) and when I stepped on the scale and saw 130 I went straight to the gym after no sleep….Not the best idea but it got me back on track…I am now at 126 so far so good. I want to at very least get back down to 120. No more junk! I am too close to spring for this! Lets see what happens now that I am going full force. New pictures will be taken just as soon as I get over the bloat from the up coming TOM. See you soon and even smaller! The good news though is that I allowed myself some good healing time. My arms are looking great! Now lets just get my stomach in gear!!! It is so huge right now it is killing me to look at it. Usually I have a flat stomach with some deffintion, now right now though….

CALI HERE I COME~!

Friday, January 16th, 2009

So, I am going on vacation tomorrow to San Fransico! I cant wait….I am going to ride a bike across the Golden Gate bridge and celebrate with the rest of California Bush leaving office! I cant wait! I am sure to loose maybe a pound or two while on this trip. I am packing my protein bars and bringing my oatmeal so I will be a-okay! I am going to be doing so much biking and walking I doubt I will have any worries at all. Gosh, traveling alone is exciting! I have never been out west and never traveled by myself. I cant wait to do whatever it is I want when I want. I am staying at a hostel so the experience should be awesome. I will tell you all how it goes. I need a good week of no lifting anyway, allowing my body to recover is the best thing I have ever done! I will also have some updated pictures when I get back as well. My body is changing daily!

Pervs in the gym piss me off!!!!

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

I swear there is this one really old guy that just creeps me out at the gym…I have been going to the YMCA for over 5 years now and I have had TONS of guys come up to me and say "ummmm, you need to do this exercise like this, your doing it all wrong…" Or they will comment on my tattoos or ask me questions. I have my i-pod glued to me the entire time that I am working out! Why talk to someone that has head phone on!!!!! I CANT HEAR YOU NOR DO I WANT TO TALK TO YOU WHEN I AM DOING 30LB BICEPT CURLS, ass!!! Sorry but today the worst thing happened to me yet! Back to what I was saying….There is this one old guy that goes to the gym and sits on the machines and basically watches me the whole time. I do admit, I get into it at the gym (no I dont make sex noises while exercising!) Anyway, usually I block out the guys checking me out and focus on form and what I am doing. Today was leg day. So first off I do squats then I go straight to doing deadlifts (80 pounds mind you!) So I put two 25lb plates on the floor (to lift my heels up so that I can really get a good lift in) and the 80lb weighted bar in front of me and away I go, doing deadlift after dead lift. There is not much room for me to do deadlifts anywhere but sandwiched in between the weighted bars and right in front of the leg extention machine. Well, this ******* sits right in front of me on the machine while I am bending over and trying to stick my butt out as far as possible and just sits there! I was right in the middle of a set so I didnt stop but I basically was bending over right in fron of him (my head in his direction so it was very uncomforatble for me because all I could see was his old crotch!). I was so pissed off (still am, cant you tell!) That I dropped the bar (I never throw weights) and just stood there looking at him until he felt so uncomforatable that he moved. I didnt say a word. I just dropped the weight and gave him the most god aweful look (while saying the most god awful things in my head to him.) Sometimes you dont need to say anything, you just need to say what you want in your head while looking at the person and your eyes and face do the talking. I am so sick of this perv and have had to deal with him for the last year. NO MORE! I am going to intimidate the hell out of him everytime he is there. MOVE OUT OF MY WAY. STOP STARING AT ME AND DO WHAT YOU CAME TO DO. WORKOUT!

Ok, ok,ok, I am done with the rant. I just had to get this off of my chest. Thanks for listening!

Took Pictures…Now tell me what do you think….

Monday, January 5th, 2009

I have been asking for help for quite sometime. I had some pictures of me during the summer (and when I looked my best) but now we are in Januray. I am white and well lets just be nice and say I need some work. Do you think that I could ever compete??? I want honesty. What do you see needs the most work? I look at the pictures and I dont even know where to start. My workout plan is on my page along with my diet. Now if I just can get some help!!!! I halfed my workouts so that I can recover….Help!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

Now dont stuff your face! Or that is what I am telling myself all day as I make the trail home. I am worried. I am going home to spend 4 days and I will be surrounded by food and even worst…people that dont understand my way of living/diet. I am just wanting to get through these 4 days and not feel guilty or get pressured into eating something that I dont want. I need to celebrate other ways. I LOVE my family dont get me wrong but when I got home I am the butt of all jokes. Things like "Ooooppss Heather just had a bite of a cookie, looks like she is going to have to go for a run." is said all day. They will say things like "Heather! You are so tiny, a little piece of cake isnt going to make you fat, live a little." I after a few days just may start to think that way. I just have to remember that the scale will be waiting for me when I get home. SO I have got to be on my best behaivor. I do have a plan! I am going to go to the grocery store today and make sure that I have snacks on hand for me at all times. When I want something sweet , it will be greek yogurt! Ok I can do this AND so can you. Marry Christmas to all!

YES! There is a plan for me!!!

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

I just got some awesome advice that I will take for the next month and more than likely forever! I am SO thankful for the reply from someone that I REALLY look up to. I have spent hours of reading his blogs and even more hours watching youtube videos and researching on-line. The verdict is in….I have been overtraining. I knew this. It was like a sign. I was just telling myself this one night last week when I could barley walk up the stairs to my house and crawl into bed. I said to myself "your, over training…" I havent been able to see any results and I have been so worn out. I kept reading things like "If you arent sore or hurting than the job didnt get done…" Or squeeze one last rep in just when you think that your muscle is going to burst." I was literally killing myself in the gym. Racking the bars up with weights and pushing until I cracked on of my teeth recently (clinching so hard). I was on bodyspace (as always, everyday!) and came across a blog….Are you over training… I read it and then I read it again. I began last night reading every single one of his blogs. I was convinced that it was ME, I was overtraining and really wasnt getting anywhere. If you have seen any of my other blogs you will read that I have been crying about this for quite some time. I just decided that I would write him and see if maybe he would look at my current plan and guide me in the right direction. Well, he did! He took the time to write me. To tell you the truth it was like getting a letter from a famous person or sonething. I couldnt believe that I had gotten a e-mail directly from him to me. (really made me feel special!) So he began to tell me what I had already thought…I was overtraining and instead of gaining muscle I was hurting myself and loosing it because of pushing myself and doing cardio too much. I am ready!!!! First off ready for some of my life back. I have for the last year spent all of my spare time at the gym. Two times a day I go for a total of 2 1/2 hours there. Every single day, 7 days a week. KILLING myself….I have done this for a year, people. Sore to the bones every night, popping glutamine like asprin. I have a new plan and I am going to tell you what it is…..

Monday-Bicepts and Tricepts (45 minutes)

Tuesday-Cardio intervals (30)

Wed.-Legs

Thurs.-Cardio intervals (30 minutes)

Friday-Chest, shoulders and back

Saturday-Completely off

Sunday-Cardio intervals (30)

My meal plan will look like like what I have on my page but the days that I lift I will add in some brown rice or yams. I am siked to be able to write back in a few weeks with amazing results. Thanks to you!

Fast Gone Well!

Monday, December 15th, 2008

Ok so I did a juice/liquid fast over the weekend Friday-Sunday and I feel really strong! I mean there were some tough times over the weekend but now I feel like I have a clean slate so to peak. I was eating 6 small meals but those 6 small meals turned into 6 rather large meals and well I wasnt getting anywhere. Now that my stomach has shrunk I am going to cut back on my portions and think like a smaller person because that is what I want to acheive. I like what I see in the mirrior I just want to be smaller. I cut my calories and I am not willing to dip down below 1200 so I am just going to have to deal with it. Smaller portions will help me out I think. I had my oatmeal with a spoon full of cottage cheese in it and some walnuts and cranberries in it. That really filled me up. Last week I would have felt like I could have eaten 3 bowls! lol. Anyway. I didnt loose a pound so that is good, I guess. I was drinking protein shakes to keep my protein level high so that while I was on my fast I wouldnt loose any muscle. I wish that I would have taken some measurements though….Oh well. Maybe I still will. I am a bit scared though that they will be the same and I would have done it all for nothing. Anyway, I am here to report that fasting is hard to do in the winter for sure. I usually do this in the spring and I am going to do another one then. Today is Bicepts and Tricepts and I am going to kill them. I took two days off completely from the gym (I havent taken a full day off in months). So I am healed and ready to hit it. Happy holidays!

Fast/Cleanse

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

So I have decided to do a fast/cleanse. I am going to go only organic fresh juices and maybe some kombucha. I borrowed a juicer from a friend last night and this morning when I woke up and made carrot, apple, beet ginger juice and man was it good. I have yet to have anything today and it is almost 10 a.m. I am thinking about going ahead and doing the fast today and do the fast for 4 days instead of three, we will see. My question is has anyone ever done a juicing fast and if so what do I expect? Any weight loss? I am hoping to jump start my system and get rid of a few pounds during this and then maintain. Do you think that I will loose any muscle in 4 days? Thanks!
