I just got some awesome advice that I will take for the next month and more than likely forever! I am SO thankful for the reply from someone that I REALLY look up to. I have spent hours of reading his blogs and even more hours watching youtube videos and researching on-line. The verdict is in….I have been overtraining. I knew this. It was like a sign. I was just telling myself this one night last week when I could barley walk up the stairs to my house and crawl into bed. I said to myself "your, over training…" I havent been able to see any results and I have been so worn out. I kept reading things like "If you arent sore or hurting than the job didnt get done…" Or squeeze one last rep in just when you think that your muscle is going to burst." I was literally killing myself in the gym. Racking the bars up with weights and pushing until I cracked on of my teeth recently (clinching so hard). I was on bodyspace (as always, everyday!) and came across a blog….Are you over training… I read it and then I read it again. I began last night reading every single one of his blogs. I was convinced that it was ME, I was overtraining and really wasnt getting anywhere. If you have seen any of my other blogs you will read that I have been crying about this for quite some time. I just decided that I would write him and see if maybe he would look at my current plan and guide me in the right direction. Well, he did! He took the time to write me. To tell you the truth it was like getting a letter from a famous person or sonething. I couldnt believe that I had gotten a e-mail directly from him to me. (really made me feel special!) So he began to tell me what I had already thought…I was overtraining and instead of gaining muscle I was hurting myself and loosing it because of pushing myself and doing cardio too much. I am ready!!!! First off ready for some of my life back. I have for the last year spent all of my spare time at the gym. Two times a day I go for a total of 2 1/2 hours there. Every single day, 7 days a week. KILLING myself….I have done this for a year, people. Sore to the bones every night, popping glutamine like asprin. I have a new plan and I am going to tell you what it is…..
Monday-Bicepts and Tricepts (45 minutes)
Tuesday-Cardio intervals (30)
Wed.-Legs
Thurs.-Cardio intervals (30 minutes)
Friday-Chest, shoulders and back
Saturday-Completely off
Sunday-Cardio intervals (30)
My meal plan will look like like what I have on my page but the days that I lift I will add in some brown rice or yams. I am siked to be able to write back in a few weeks with amazing results. Thanks to you!
