Sauna workout: Chest and Tri’s
Urgh! Every public holiday I have to contend with way too many people crowded into my gym and to add to this the last few the air-conditioning has been out too. Made for a crazily hot and sweaty workout. I started out strong and improved my BB bench a little, but by the end of my 4th set I’d finished all my water and would have had to risk loosing my bench (to someone who thought they needed it to rest on between front raises!!) to go and refill my bottle. Consequently I ran out of go by the time I got to triceps. One huge MF who was training at the same time actually said he was enjoying the heat everyone else just seemed to be huffing and puffing more.
Being the sucker for punishment I am I decided after my long and protracted workout I’d try to run a few km’s on an incline in the hope of improving my outdoor running without actually having to go out in the heat. Did 2.5km in 15mins at 2% which is about where I want to be. I’ll step up the cardio in a few weeks. Having a working iPod would really help!
I survived calories in tact over easter and still managed to tuck away more chocolate than I would eat in a month. Scales said I’d put on a kilo in 3 days but my guess is that it was all the water retained from all that tasty cheese I ate. Dried me right out.
